Dacia announces final UK pre-launch details: Goodwood Festival of Speed attendance, appointment of 127 UK retailers and ‘Dacia Store’ launch

To many, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the highlights of ‘The Season’, in quintessentially elegant surroundings. This year however, one company, Dacia, will be seeking to add something a little different to proceedings, as it takes to the estate’s manicured grounds for the very first time.

Dacia, Europe’s fastest growing automotive brand for the last eight years, has chosen this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed as the UK launch pad for its Duster SUV range. Interest is expected to be considerable, not least because the “shockingly affordable” prices for its high-selling SUV will be revealed online the day before, on 27^th June.

Surrounded by expensive automotive creations, both past and present, Dacia will be embarking on the first stage of its crusade to educate the British public on the benefits of smart car buying by showing its eagerly-awaited Duster. The all-conquering brand will be showcased in three distinct ways at the world’s largest celebration of motor sport and car culture, using its UK marketing strapline, ‘You do the maths’.

The first will see Dacia at the Moving Motor Show on Thursday 28 June, with public test drives in left-hand-drive Dusters. The limited number of bookings available have already been snapped up by 50 lucky competition winners, however, all is not lost, as three static Dusters will also be available for closer inspection in the Dacia area right through until Sunday 1 July.

Outside of the grounds themselves, but still very much in keeping with the Dacia ethos of remaining grounded and in touch with its customers, the brand will be the official sponsor of the Goodwood Festival of Speed campsite. As part of its involvement with the site which accommodates several thousand visitors at the event each year, the UK’s newest car brand will be offering a shuttle service between the show and local amenities from 7-11pm from 27 June to 1 July.

127 Dacia Retailers appointed across UK – Dusters on display in showrooms from 28^th June Ensuring that Dacia fever can sweep the nation as swiftly as possible, a total of 127 Dacia Retailers have been appointed across the UK. All of them are current Renault main dealers.

Those not able to travel down to West Sussex will be able to get up close and personal to Duster when the wraps come off at Dacia Retailers nationwide from 28 June, the same day as the brand pre-launches at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Potential buyers eager to locate their closest Retailer of the UK’s most affordable new SUV are invited to visit dacia.co.uk or call 0800 99 11 99 from 28 June.

Duster available to pre-order online at Dacia Store from 28^th June Following a successful launch in Italy and Netherlands, the UK will be the third subsidiary to offer customers the option of pre-ordering a Dacia online. The hassle-free approach of the newly opened ‘Dacia Store’ will mean that not only can customers configure their preferred Duster on dacia.co.uk from 28 June, they will also be able to pre-order it with just a £100 deposit to ensure they are one of the first to receive theirs when deliveries commence in January 2013.

Pre-orders through the Dacia Store can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with payment processed via credit and debit card. At the end of the transaction, customers can simply select a Dacia Retailer to fulfil their order. Closer to delivery, the chosen Retailer will then invite the purchaser in to accept delivery of the car and answer any questions they might have, including finance or after-sales.
