Bentley Motors has unveiled the fourth-generation Continental GT Speed, continuing its legacy of blending supercar performance with handcrafted luxury and everyday usability. This latest iteration introduces an all-new ‘Ultra Performance Hybrid’ powertrain, marking it as the most powerful road-going Bentley ever created.

At the heart of the Continental GT Speed is a formidable 782 PS, 1,000 Nm powertrain, combining a 4.0-liter V8 engine with a 190 PS electric motor. This setup propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds) and achieves a top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h). Notably, the hybrid system offers an electric range of 50 miles (81 km) and emits just 29 g/km of CO2.

This new generation boasts a striking design evolution, featuring a bold new exterior with single headlamps that herald a new era in Bentley’s design language. The interior sets new standards with a world-leading four-seat layout, incorporating wellness seat technology, air ionization, 3D leather, and modern quilting.

Underpinning the Continental GT Speed is a new electrical architecture that integrates cutting-edge technology, enhancing the luxury car experience. The ‘My Bentley App Studio’ brings popular apps directly into the car, ensuring seamless connectivity.

Simultaneously launched with the coupe, the new GTC Speed variant maintains the performance and luxury of its closed-roof counterpart, offering customers the choice between open-top and coupe configurations.

Handcrafted at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England, each Continental GT Speed can be customized to an extensive degree, reflecting Bentley’s commitment to bespoke luxury.

The Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain stands out as a highlight of the new Continental GT Speed, delivering 782 PS through a combination of V8 engine and electric motor. This setup not only enhances acceleration and top speed but also reduces CO2 emissions significantly compared to traditional powertrains.

A sophisticated chassis system complements the powertrain, featuring two-chamber air springs, dual-valve dampers, Bentley Dynamic Ride, electronic limited-slip differential, and torque vectoring. These innovations ensure exceptional body control and ride comfort, supported by a rear-biased weight distribution of 49:51.

The All New Continental Gt Speed

Externally, the Continental GT Speed adopts Bentley’s new design philosophy, characterized by cleaner lines and a more muscular presence. The introduction of single headlamps and intricate LED matrix lighting enhances visibility and aesthetics.

Inside, Bentley’s commitment to luxury is evident with meticulously crafted interiors, offering advanced features like wellness seating, air ionization, and a choice of high-end audio systems including Bang & Olufsen and Naim.

Technological advancements include a new 400-volt electrical architecture, supporting features like wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and over-the-air updates. The Continental GT Speed also introduces the innovative My Bentley App Studio, integrating a variety of vehicle and third-party applications directly into the infotainment system.

For the first time, the Continental GT and GTC Speed models benefit from Bentley Performance Active Chassis, enhancing handling and comfort with features like all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, and torque vectoring.

Visually, the new design language emphasizes a muscular stance with refined details inspired by Bentley’s heritage, including a redesigned front end with single headlamps and a contemporary rear with integrated aerodynamics.

In summary, the fourth-generation Continental GT Speed redefines grand touring with its combination of power, luxury, and technological sophistication. It sets new benchmarks in performance and comfort, continuing Bentley’s tradition of excellence in automotive craftsmanship and innovation.
