At this year’s 11th Dubai International Motor Show, Chrysler Group Middle East is presenting an impressive array of vehicles, including three Middle East premieres.
The vehicles encompass all Chrysler Group brands – Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge and Ram demonstrating Chrysler’s commitment to offer its Middle East customers vehicles that are at the cutting edge of quality, design and technology.
“Over the past year, Chrysler Group Middle East has enjoyed tremendous growth, with sales consistently showing a significant increase since 2008”, said Jack Rodencal, Managing Director, Chrysler Group Middle East. “The Middle East has always played an important role globally, making a major contribution to Chrysler Group’s worldwide sales, and we expect this to continue.”
Making their Middle East premieres at the show are the all-new 6.4-litre HEMI® powered 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 – the fastest Jeep ever built; the 2012 6.4-litre HEMI® Dodge Challenger SRT8 and the highly acclaimed all-new Chrysler 300C.
These vehicles take centre stage on the Chrysler Group Middle East stand and demonstrate the advances made by the company in design and engineering through
the use of modern technologies.

vehicles, expanding into new markets like Iraq and providing advanced technology in our products is really reaping rewards and today we are looking to the future with renewed optimism,” said Rodencal. “It also makes good business sense, inspiring top-lines sales that will contribute to our continued success”.
Design is another highlight of Chrysler Groups’ participation in this year’s show, and Klaus Busse, Head of Interior Design, Chrysler Group LLC, is visiting the Dubai International Motorshow, further proof of the importance of the Middle East market to the company. Busse is responsible for the interior design of Chrysler, Jeep®, Dodge and Ram vehicles and elevating the company’s interior design to world-class levels.
“Although it is thought that most decisions in purchasing a new vehicle is based on research and some logical reasoning, I feel one of the most important factors is the emotional response to the design that plays a most important role,” said Busse, commenting on Chrysler’s dedication to design. “Exterior design captivates but the interior keeps you motivated to enjoy your vehicle by providing the necessary ambience to enjoy the joys of motoring.”
Chrysler’s stand at the Dubai Motor Show showcases the following vehicles:
Chrysler 300C
The all-new 300C achieves both the serious performance of a sports sedan and the sophisticated poise of a luxury sedan, breaking down the traditional compromise between spirited driving and luxury motoring.
The 2012 300C is even more desirable to luxury sport sedan buyers, offering enhanced engines and transmissions plus dramatic new styling, inside and out. Visitors will have the chance to see the 300S variant at the Motorshow, which features an audio system that has been specially tuned by Dr. Dre and uses Beats speakers throughout the vehicle (availability of this model in the Middle East is as yet to be confirmed).
Dodge Challenger SRT8
The 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 delivers a brand statement that combines modern automotive engineering values, passionate design and styling with exhilarating performance on road. It uses the proven 392 cubic-inch (6.4-litre) HEMI® V8 engine that delivers 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque across a wide rpm range. The Challenger’s new and exclusive SRT® steering wheel features mounted paddle shifters.
Dodge Charger R/T
The 2012 Dodge Charger R/T gets even more driver-focused appointments. Designed for hard-core enthusiasts who crave even more performance from their 370 horsepower
HEMI® V8 powered Dodge Charger R/T with Fuel Saver multi-displacement technology, the R/T Road & Track package now adds even more cockpit convenience features, including ventilated performance seats with larger side bolsters to give even more confidence during aggressive handling manoeuvres.
Further adding to the engaging driving experience are new die-cast zinc steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.
Dodge Durango
The return of the Dodge Durango this year brought with it numerous awards and comparison test victories from many well-respected evaluation groups, such as MotorWeek and the American Automobile Association (AAA). Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8
The most powerful, technologically advanced, high-performance Jeep® vehicle ever – the all-new 2012 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8® – arrives in Middle East showrooms
early next year.
It combines Jeep’s legendary capability and utility with the advanced performance engineering from Chrysler Group’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) team.
Designed and built using the proven SRT formula that raises performance to astonishing levels, the new 2012 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8 runs from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds, 0-100-0 mph in the mid-16 second range, can cover the quarter mile in the mid-13 second range, has a top speed of 160 mph, and brakes from 60-0 mph in 116 feet.
Powering the 2012 Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8 is Chrysler Group’s all-new 6.4-litre HEMI® V8 with Fuel Saver Technology that delivers 470 horsepower (351 kW) and 465 lb.-ft. (630 Nm) of torque – an improvement of 50 horsepower and 45 lb.-ft. torque over the 6.1-litre HEMI® V8 it replaces.

In addition to the above models which are, of the course, the stars on the Chrysler stand, a series of raffle draws gives visitors the chance to win amazing prizes, including Beats Solo Headphones, Call of Duty: MW3 games (which will be launched globally, just two days before the Motorshow) and Al Jaber Optical vouchers.

Also performing at their stand will be the Emirati Hip-hop group ‘Desert Heat’. Desert Heat consists of two Emirati brothers, Salim Dahman (known as ‘Illmiyah’) and Abdullah Dahman (known as ‘Arableak’). Desert Heat will be performing songs from their new album on Friday November 11th at 6.45pm.
The raffle draws will take place on the 11th, 12th and 14th at 7.30pm with Virgin Radio RJ Kris Fade, who will act as MC on the 11thand 12th.
