London, 5 February 2026 – CHERY UK has continued its strong entry into the British market, registering 2,127 cars in January 2026, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). With sales having commenced in September 2025, the brand’s first five months in the UK have delivered 7,644 vehicle registrations, securing a 1.48% market share in January alone.
The performance underscores the growing appeal of CHERY’s three-model TIGGO line-up, which blends stylish design, cutting-edge technology, and everyday practicality. The range comprises the CHERY TIGGO 7 and TIGGO 8 SUVs, both designed to offer distinctive styling, family-friendly features, and excellent value, alongside the recently launched CHERY TIGGO 9 Super Hybrid, which entered the market in January as the brand’s flagship.
CHERY’s success is supported by a rapidly expanding UK retail network, now encompassing 58 partners nationwide. This follows the brand’s inaugural Retailer Conference, which united dealers from across the country to highlight the network’s pivotal role in CHERY UK’s growth strategy for 2026. The event also spotlighted key brand initiatives, including the “Get Carried Away” campaign featuring British power couple Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy, celebrating effortless everyday luxury in the CHERY TIGGO 9 Super Hybrid.
Backing the UK operations is Chery International, China’s largest vehicle exporter for 23 consecutive years, which has helped establish CHERY as a recognised and trusted name among British drivers. The brand’s commitment to customer confidence is reflected in a comprehensive aftersales package, including a 7-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty, an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty where applicable, and RAC Home Start as standard for the first year.
Farrell Hsu, CHERY UK Country Director, said: “2026 is set to be a defining year for CHERY in the UK. Our focus is firmly on building long-term success through stronger brand recognition, meaningful customer relationships, and exceptional aftersales support. As our model line-up and retailer network continue to grow, we are committed to ensuring every customer experiences the quality and service standards that will underpin CHERY’s future in the UK.”
Further cementing consumer trust, CHERY UK has recently joined The Motor Ombudsman’s New Car Code, which sets best practice guidelines for carmakers in supplying new vehicles and warranty services. The inclusion ensures that CHERY customers benefit from robust protection and support across the expanding retail network.
Pricing for the TIGGO line-up remains competitive. The CHERY TIGGO 7 starts from £24,995 OTR, the TIGGO 8 from £28,545 OTR, while the flagship TIGGO 9 Super Hybrid is offered in one fully equipped specification at £43,105 OTR, with premium paint the only optional extra.
With a compelling product range, growing dealer network, and strong aftersales support, CHERY UK is poised for a year of continued growth, building a lasting presence in the British automotive market.
