With global sales reaching an unprecedented 2,603,916 vehicles—an impressive 38.4% year-on-year growth—the Chinese automaker outpaced the broader industry by a margin of 10-20 percentage points. Global Milestones and Achievements
2024 was a banner year for Chery on the international stage. Key achievements included:
- Record-breaking exports: Chery shipped 1,144,588 vehicles to international markets, a 21.4% increase, maintaining its position as China’s top passenger vehicle exporter for the 22nd consecutive year.
- Electrification leadership: Chery’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sales soared to 583,599 units, marking a staggering 232.7% increase—the fastest growth among major automakers. December alone saw over 100,000 global PHEV sales, a 31.9% month-on-month increase.
- Production milestones: The automaker celebrated the production of its 15 millionth vehicle and the export of its one-millionth Tiggo 7 model, underscoring Chery’s enduring impact on the global automotive industry.

South African Success
In South Africa, Chery recorded exceptional results, solidifying its presence in this dynamic market. The automaker sold 19,971 vehicles locally in 2024, with November standing out as a historic month, achieving a record-breaking 2,006 units sold. December followed closely, with 1,867 units delivered to South African customers.
The best-selling Tiggo 4 Pro continued to dominate, with annual sales of 12,646 units, followed by the Tiggo 7 Pro (4,752), Tiggo 8 Pro (2,140), and the Tiggo Cross (433), which debuted in the latter part of the year.

With its efficient dual-clutch transmission, the Tiggo 4 Pro DCT provides customers with an elevated driving experience, complementing the lineup’s manual and CVT options.

- In Brazil, the Tiggo 7 was named the “2024 Best Midsize SUV to Buy.”
- In Egypt, the Tiggo 8 won the “Best Chinese Performance and Luxury Car Award,” while the Tiggo 4 took home the “Best-Selling SUV-C” title.
