Zaventem, 18 July 2025 – Subaru Europe has officially unveiled a new era for the brand with the introduction of three all-electric models, expanding its BEV footprint and redefining its SUV line-up for European and UK markets. The all-new Subaru Uncharted, refreshed Subaru Solterra, and the electrified flagship Subaru E-Outback mark a decisive shift towards sustainable performance, outdoor capability, and advanced driver-focused innovation.

These models are underpinned by the newly evolved e-Subaru Global Platform, which has been engineered to offer greater driving range, faster charging, and enhanced power delivery. Subaru’s world-renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system has been adapted for electric propulsion, utilising intuitive software to manage torque distribution across dual e-axles for confident grip, precise handling and off-road agility.

Subaru Uncharted: Forging a New Path for Compact Electric SUVs

Making its global debut, the Subaru Uncharted becomes the brand’s first-ever all-electric compact SUV. Purpose-built for explorers and urban adventurers alike, the Uncharted strikes a compelling balance between rugged capability and everyday usability. With a turning circle of just 5.5 metres and 210 mm of ground clearance, it offers true versatility, whether navigating tight city streets or venturing off the beaten path.

Inside, the Uncharted exudes contemporary functionality with its squared steering wheel, dual wireless charging pads, paddle shifters and a prominent 14-inch infotainment display. Three drivetrain options will be available, all powered by lithium-ion battery packs:

  • AWD Dual-Motor (77 kWh): 252 kW (344 PS), 292 miles range (WLTP), 0–62 mph in 5.0 seconds, and 1,500 kg towing capacity.
  • FWD Long-Range Single-Motor (77 kWh): Up to 363 miles of range, prioritising efficiency and affordability.
  • FWD Standard-Range Single-Motor (57.7 kWh): A practical 276 miles of range with nimble responsiveness.

All variants are equipped with a 22 kW onboard charger and support rapid DC charging from 10 to 80% in just 30 minutes—even in sub-zero conditions thanks to battery pre-conditioning technology.

The Subaru Uncharted is scheduled for UK launch in early 2026, with full specifications and pricing to follow.

Subaru E-Outback: A Flagship Reimagined for the EV Generation

Carrying the storied legacy of the Outback name into a new electric chapter, the Subaru E-Outback (known as Trailseeker in the US) emerges as the ultimate expression of Subaru’s adventurous DNA. Built to tackle demanding landscapes and long road trips with confidence, it offers a powerful electric experience without sacrificing practical utility.

  • 74.7 kWh battery, 280 kW (380 PS) output
  • 0–62 mph in just 4.4 seconds
  • Over 279 miles of range
  • 1,500 kg towing capacity
  • 210 mm of ground clearance
  • Symmetrical AWD and dual X-MODE terrain control

True to its go-anywhere spirit, the E-Outback delivers generous interior space – longer than the Solterra – and ample luggage room, easily accommodating four large suitcases or weekend gear for the entire family. Safety remains paramount, with the addition of systems such as Emergency Driving Stop, Secondary Collision Braking, and a suite of driver assist features inspired by Subaru’s award-winning EyeSight technology.

The Subaru E-Outback is set to arrive in the UK in Summer 2026.

New Subaru Solterra: Refined Performance and Extended Capability

Three years after its initial debut, the Subaru Solterra has been comprehensively updated for 2025. This second-generation model retains its robust character while introducing meaningful improvements in power, range, and refinement.

The dual-motor Solterra now offers:

  • 252 kW (344 PS)
  • 0–62 mph in 5.1 seconds
  • A 73.1 kWh battery offering over 310 miles of range
  • Upgraded DC charging: 10–80% in 30 minutes at –10°C
  • 1,500 kg towing capacity (double that of its predecessor)

Visually, the new Solterra gains a more aerodynamic front fascia, a redesigned interior with improved material finishes, and an advanced 14-inch infotainment interface. Additional camera-based safety systems have also been integrated to bolster all-surface awareness.

The updated Solterra joins the Uncharted in launching across UK showrooms in early 2026.

Subaru’s Electrified Vision for the Future

With this expanded BEV range, Subaru Europe is solidifying its commitment to delivering capable, safe, and emotionally engaging vehicles in the age of electrification. From the bold agility of the Uncharted to the elevated practicality of the E-Outback and the reengineered Solterra, each model is engineered to provide more than just emissions-free mobility—it’s about preserving the spirit of adventure, while driving towards a cleaner tomorrow.

More details on UK pricing and trim levels for all models will be announced ahead of their respective launches in 2026. Subaru continues to stay driven by what it loves—building vehicles for those who live life unbounded.
