This Sunday 19th August could mark the largest group of loyal Suzuki car and motorcycle fans and enthusiasts ever gathered in the UK as they converge on Finmere Airfield near Buckingham for Suzuki Day 2012. The event is being held in conjunction with a wide range of exhibits at the Milton Keynes Car show.

Suzuki Owners Club

The event is an amalgamation of all the Suzuki Clubs across the UK as well as some owners from overseas. Late entries are still open* and to date the response has been staggering with more than 2,600 cars attending as well as 350 motorcycles.

Suzuki GB PLC, located just 10 miles away in Milton Keynes, will be exhibiting its range of cars at Finmere as well as a selection from its latest motorcycle and ATV ranges. Turning back the clock, the SC100 ‘Whizzkid’ from 1982 will be there as well the legendary 2003 BBC Top Gear  Liana ‘Reasonably Priced Car’ that is still put to regular use by F1 drivers appearing on the show. Owners will also have the chance to get kitted out too, as Suzuki’s recently launched all new merchandising range will be available at the venue.

This event will also see the official public launch of ‘Heaven can wait, I’m busy’ which is a Global expedition by a team of dedicated Suzuki Jimny owners travelling over 20,000 miles around the top of the world in aid of the Save The Children charity. The expedition commences in April 2013 and more information will be available on the day.

On display will be a large mix of static exhibits including the latest model from Suzuki-powered Radical Sports cars (regularly demonstrated by BSB Champion John Reynolds), trade stalls and a full programme of dynamic displays including club competitions, demonstrations of Swift Rally and Rally Cross cars; Ignis track car, modified SJ and Vitara off road cars, RM-Z Motocross bikes as well as Mclean Racing with its three Drag race bikes.

Entry is free to spectators with just £1 for parking and £6 in advance to display a Suzuki or £10 on the day. Finmere Airfield is located five miles to the west of Buckingham, the post code is MK18 4AP.
