Broderick Marine is launching two super-luxury boats at the Johannesburg Boat Show at the Nasrec Expo Centre on August 8-11, 2013.
The Vanderbijlpark-based luxury boat retailer will be show-casing the Cobalt R5 24-foot mid-sized runabout, and the sumptuous 27-foot Avalon Entertainer pontoon.
The Cobalt R5 is a boat that was built in response to increasing demands for a mid-sized boat which encapsulated the qualities of the smoothest of rides, an aggressive profile, and accentuating the transom, swim platform and sun-pad. The transom is walk-through, while the backrest is convertible.
The overall look of the 24-footer is “yachtesque”, with a very wide interior beam. It has wraparound seating, in the tradition of the Cobalt product line-up, and the makers say that the seating configuration is unique to Cobalt in this size of boat. A console door finished in wood-grains and crafted vinyl opens to a head that is the largest in its class.
Oil-rubbed ebony Makassar adorns the helm, as do aluminium dash panels and stainless steel switchgear, for that ultra-luxury feel. The wheel is leather-wrapped, further adding to the luxury feel and adding that edge of extra control beloved of experienced helmsmen.
As a final touch, the audio system is courtesy of the acclaimed Rockford Fosgate mobile-audio specialists.
The Avalon Entertainer has the appearance of a boat party that is already happening from the moment you step on board. This example is a 27 footer and offers full customising flexibility. The makers say that the boat can be equipped with lounges, gas grills, wakeboard racks and even water slides!
It is ideal for sunbathing, fishing, swimming, tubing, skiing, or just cruising around having a grand old time.
