Paris, France – February 5, 2025 – Broad Arrow, a Hagerty company (NYSE: HGTY), is set to capture the imagination of international car collectors and enthusiasts as it presents a rare collection of historically significant motoring icons at Retromobile 2025. Hosted at Paris Expo – Porte de Versailles from February 5–9, the display, located in Hall 1 at Stand 111, promises to be a highlight of the event, offering a sneak peek into Broad Arrow’s upcoming auction and private sale offerings.

A Showcase of Automotive Masterpieces

At the heart of the display is the illustrious 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa, destined for auction at the inaugural Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Broad Arrow Auction in May. With chassis number 004 C, this remarkable specimen is celebrated as one of the most original early Ferraris in existence. Featuring Carrozzeria Ansaloni coachwork and a storied racing pedigree—including finishes in the Targa Florio and Mille Miglia—the 166 Spyder is a true testament to Ferrari’s pioneering spirit. Certified by Ferrari Classiche White Book and enriched by 50 years of documented family history, it encapsulates a defining era in automotive design and racing.

Also commanding attention is the 1988 Porsche 911 TAG Turbo by Lanzante. With an asking price of £2,200,000, this bespoke machine is one of only 11 produced. Born from Porsche’s 1987 F1 development program, the TAG Turbo was transformed in 2018 by Porsche specialist Lanzante into a street-legal masterpiece. This rare example, boasting carbon fibre bodywork, striking Mint Green paint, and an F1-vintage engine once raced by Alain Prost, epitomizes the fusion of racing heritage and bespoke craftsmanship, making it a must-see for Porsche aficionados.

Other automotive legends on display include:

  • 1930 Bentley Speed Six ‘Old No.3’
Revered for its historic exploits at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, this iconic Speed Six—chassis HM2869—captured the spirit of the Bentley Boys. With a legacy that includes racing victories and appearances at international concours, ‘Old No.3’ continues to enchant collectors and is available via Broad Arrow Private Sales.
  • 1949 Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupe by Dubos Frères
With an estimated value between €1,200,000 and €1,500,000, this one-of-a-kind coupe is the sole survivor of the two coachbuilt by Dubos Frères. Its powerful 4.5-litre twin-cam engine and storied history—ranging from a Grand Prix win in 1949 to its celebrated presence in automotive literature—make it an embodiment of exclusivity and sophistication.
  • 1965 Ferrari 275 GTS
Estimated between €1,500,000 and €1,800,000, the Ferrari 275 GTS replaced the legendary 250 SWB California Spider with design brilliance from Pininfarina and engineering enhancements that elevated its performance credentials. Limited to just 200 examples, its Classiche certification and impeccable provenance secure its status as a coveted collectible for serious connoisseurs.

Beyond Cars: A Glimpse into Collectible Memorabilia

Broad Arrow’s presence at Retromobile extends beyond the automobiles themselves. The stand will also feature an array of highly collectable memorabilia, including several Formula 1 driver helmets. These rare items are scheduled for the Spring 2025 Memorabilia Online Auction, running from April 21 to May 4, offering enthusiasts another channel to acquire pieces of motor racing history.

Engaging with the Experts

Visitors to the Broad Arrow stand will not only have the opportunity to admire these automotive masterpieces but also to engage directly with industry experts. Representatives from Broad Arrow Auctions, Private Sales, and Capital will be on hand to discuss consignments and bespoke financial solutions tailored for the discerning collector.

It is a real honour to present these cars at Retromobile in Paris,” says Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for the EMEA Region at Broad Arrow. “Each car is not only highly collectable but represents a significant moment in automotive history and design, worthy of taking its place in any important international collection. We are looking forward to fantastic conversations with collectors and enthusiasts this week, as we showcase the 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa and other exceptional examples of motoring heritage.

A Year of Remarkable Growth and Future Prospects

Following an impressive 75 percent year-over-year growth in 2024, with $316 million in transactions across auctions, private sales, and financing, Broad Arrow continues to strengthen its position as a leader in the global collector car market. With a slate of high-profile events and auctions planned for 2025—including its newly established role as the official auction house for the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in partnership with BMW AG—Broad Arrow remains committed to providing unparalleled opportunities for collectors worldwide.
