South Africa – Brand O&J, the division encompassing OMODA and JAECOO, has posted impressive third-quarter sales results, reflecting sustained growth and strong market confidence in its expanding vehicle lineup. Between July and September, the brand sold 2,472 units—a 26% increase over Q2 and a remarkable 50% rise compared to the first quarter of 2025.
Year-to-date (YTD) figures underline the brand’s consistent performance, with 8,543 vehicles sold across both marques. The brands are well on track to surpass the 11,000-unit milestone by the close of 2025, boosted by an expanding portfolio of models, including new hybrids and the anticipated OMODA C7.
Model Highlights Driving Sales
The OMODA C5 led Q3 sales with 2,408 units sold, cementing its position as the brand’s best-selling model. Close behind in performance was the JAECOO J7, with 557 units, while the JAECOO J5 recorded 303 units despite only being on sale for two months. The OMODA C9 contributed 204 units, adding further strength to the growing O&J lineup.
September alone saw 1,201 vehicles sold across both brands, driven by strong C5 demand and steady performance across the range. These results underscore the brand’s ability to maintain momentum heading into Q4, with buyers responding positively to the combination of design, technology, and value offered by OMODA and JAECOO vehicles.

Expanding Portfolio Fuels Market Confidence
Recent model introductions have played a key role in sustaining growth. The JAECOO J5, OMODA C9 SHS, and JAECOO J7 SHS plug-in hybrids have strengthened the brand’s market offering, while the upcoming OMODA C7 is expected to further enhance local appeal and attract new buyers.
Hans Greyling, General Manager of OMODA & JAECOO South Africa, commented:
“We’re encouraged by the strong momentum seen in the third quarter. The response from local drivers shows that design, technology, and value remain key priorities, and our expanding line-up continues to deliver on all three.”

Year-end campaigns and evolving stock levels are expected to sustain interest, ensuring that OMODA and JAECOO continue to meet South African buyers’ evolving needs while driving the division closer to its 11,000-unit target.
