The Alcohol Killer BMW M Performance Parts 335i team of former champion Johan Fourie and Gavin Cronje travel to Cape Town for the penultimate round of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship this weekend (September 26 and 27) totally committed to helping Fourie increase his current 10-point championship lead in Class A over defending champion Michael Stephen.

“We’re doing everything we can to win this championship for our sponsors and for the team,” said ADF Motorsport team principal Donovan van Heerden. “With wet weather conditions always a possibility in the final round in Gauteng in November, which puts us at a disadvantage to our all-wheel drive rivals, we know we have to take full advantage of racing at the coast in likely dry and hot conditions this weekend.

“Johan’s car has been overweight throughout the season and we’ve managed to shed quite a few kilograms without affecting the excellent balance and set-up of the car that has helped us achieve excellent results to date. Both cars have brand new engines for this round and we’re excited about our prospects. We need to dominate at Killarney and this is our aim.”

Johan Fourie: “I know I always say this, but racing at Killarney, my home circuit, is always a big rush for me. I love the circuit and the amazing support I receive from the Cape fans is worth a great deal to me. I’m very motivated, more so than usual. We have a good game plan for this weekend and the whole team is in a good space with the car and its set-up. It’s very important that both Gavin and I perform well right from first practice and ensure front row grid positions for race one.”

Gavin Cronje: “The task is to help Johan maintain his championship lead and we’ll all be working together to achieve this goal. My championship chances are long gone, but we’ve got the BMW working so well that I am in a strong position to take as many points as I can away from our opposition. I also want to finish in the top three myself and am well placed to achieve this.”

In addition to Alcohol Killer, ADF Motorsport enjoys support from BMW M Performance Parts, EP Courier Services, Powerbrake and Sony PlayStation.
