This latest iteration of the BMW M2 continues to set the standard for exhilarating driving experiences in a compact two-door form. Engine and Transmission
The new BMW M2’s six-cylinder in-line engine not only delivers raw power but also offers a smoother and more linear power delivery, a hallmark of M models. Maximum torque is available across a broad rev band between 2,650 and 6,130 rpm. When equipped with the optional six-speed manual gearbox, peak torque is 550 Nm; with the standard eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, it rises to 600 Nm. The engine achieves its peak output of 480 hp at 6,250 rpm, with a redline of 7,200 rpm.

Enhancements to the accelerator mapping and response in all drive modes selectable via the M Setup menu result in quicker acceleration responses. The 3.0-litre engine shares many components with the BMW M3 and M4, ensuring robust performance.

Exterior Design
The new BMW M2’s exterior is characterized by bold surfaces, wide tracks, and athletic proportions. Key design features include a large horizontal kidney grille and a three-section split lower air intake, optimizing cooling for the powertrain and brakes. The LED headlights are positioned towards the edges of the front end, featuring a single circular headlight in homage to the iconic BMW 02 models.

The M2’s profile is distinguished by sleek lines, prominent side sill extensions, and muscular wheel arches. The optional M Carbon roof reduces weight by six kilograms and lowers the center of gravity, enhancing agility. The rear features a sculpted diffuser and twin exhaust tailpipes finished in black as standard.

Interior Features
Inside, the new BMW M2 features a redesigned steering wheel, available in M leather or optional M Alcantara, both with heating as standard. M Carbon bucket seats, offering multi-way electric adjustment and compatible with multi-point harnesses, are available as an option. The interior also boasts a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display, part of the BMW Operating System 8.5, which includes touch and voice controls for climate functions.

Standard equipment includes two-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, a harman/kardon sound system, wireless charging, and the BMW Live Cockpit Plus with navigation. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration are also standard. Advanced driving and parking assistance systems, such as front collision warning and Cruise Control with brake function, are included.

With its blend of power, precision, and cutting-edge technology, the new BMW M2 is set to redefine the driving experience for enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
