Franchised retailers across the UK applaud BMW for exceptional support, investment, and partnership.
BMW has been named the Best Manufacturer in the prestigious 2025 Car Dealer Power Survey, claiming the top spot in a comprehensive poll voted for exclusively by franchised retailers across the UK. The result affirms the premium brand’s unwavering focus on dealer relations, commercial success, and operational excellence.
The annual survey, conducted by Car Dealer Magazine, is considered one of the UK automotive industry’s most credible indicators of manufacturer performance from a retailer perspective. In this year’s edition, BMW achieved an outstanding average satisfaction score of 84.3%, the highest among all participating brands, reflecting consistently high ratings across every key area of assessment.
Retailers were asked to score their manufacturer partners across 13 core categories, including new car supply, finance offers, aftersales support, ease of communication with head office, and return on investment. BMW’s strong performance across all metrics highlights the depth of its commitment to retail excellence and the quality of its partnerships with franchised dealers.

A Testament to Partnership
Commenting on the win, James Baggott, Editor-in-Chief of Car Dealer Magazine, noted BMW’s consistent upward trajectory:
“BMW should rightly be very proud of this result. The brand has ranked highly in the Car Dealer Power survey for the past few years with top five placings, showing that it is routinely delivering for its dealer partners. This win, however, shows that BMW has upped its already-high game over the past 12 months.
“It’s clear that its dealers are happy with the franchise and how BMW is working hand-in-hand with them. Its scores in finance, brand awareness and used cars were outstanding. Huge congratulations to BMW.”
The accolade is particularly significant as the survey, which received over 2,000 responses in 2025, is based entirely on anonymous, unfiltered feedback from dealers, with no manufacturer input or influence—making it a rare, authentic reflection of dealer sentiment across the board.
A Clear Strategic Focus
BMW UK’s Sales Director, Debbie McIntosh, welcomed the recognition as validation of a long-term strategy aimed at strengthening the brand’s retail foundation:
“We’re absolutely delighted to be named Best Manufacturer in this year’s Car Dealer Power Survey. It’s a particularly rewarding recognition because it comes directly from our retail partners—the people who know our business best.
“I’d like to thank our partners for their continued support and trust. Over the past year, we’ve focused on clarity, consistency and making it easier to do business with us, and this result shows that those efforts are making a difference. We remain committed to working closely with our network as we look ahead to one of the most exciting product rollouts in the history of BMW.”
Continued Growth and Momentum
BMW’s achievement comes during a year marked by significant network investment, streamlined processes, and high-impact new model launches, which together have enhanced retail performance and satisfaction across both private and corporate channels. The brand’s approach has combined technological innovation with a people-first mindset, ensuring that its dealer partners are empowered to thrive in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
As the automotive industry faces continued evolution—from electrification and digitalisation to shifting consumer expectations—BMW’s number one ranking signals a brand not only attuned to these dynamics, but also deeply aligned with the needs of its retail network.
In the words of its partners, BMW is more than a manufacturer—it is a trusted, forward-thinking collaborator.
