Munich. BMW is set to elevate its model range this autumn with a series of technical refinements, new features, and practical upgrades aimed at improving both performance and everyday usability. The update spans multiple series, from entry-level M models to premium SUVs, ensuring that drivers benefit from more power, greater efficiency, and added convenience.

More Dynamic Performance for Entry-Level BMW M Models

At the heart of BMW’s autumn update is a significant upgrade to the petrol engines powering the BMW M240i xDrive Coupé and the entry-level M variants in the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series. The 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line petrol engine, now paired with a mild hybrid system, delivers 288 kW (392 hp) and 540 Nm of torque — a notable increase of 13 kW (18 hp) and 40 Nm over the previous generation.

The result is sharper performance across the board. The BMW M340i xDrive Sedan now accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, shaving 0.1 seconds off its predecessor’s time. Fuel efficiency has also improved: for example, the BMW M240i xDrive Coupé sees WLTP combined fuel consumption fall from 8.8–8.7 l/100 km to 8.0 l/100 km, while CO2 emissions drop from 200–199 g/km to 183 g/km.

This revised powertrain will also feature in the BMW M440i xDrive Coupé, Convertible, and Gran Coupé, ensuring that performance gains and efficiency improvements extend across the 4 Series range.

BMW M440i xDrive Convertible288/3927.7176

All updated models are scheduled to enter production between November and December 2025.

Bmw Autumn 2025 Updates Power Efficiency And Enhanced Features Across The Range

New Colours and Lighting Options

The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé gains fresh style with the introduction of Cape York Green, available for all versions equipped with the M Sport design or M Sport package. Meanwhile, the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé and BMW i4 benefit from an upgrade to the optional Adaptive LED Headlights, which now include laser rear lights for enhanced visibility and a more distinctive look.

These headlights are also available individually for the BMW 420i, 420d, and 420d xDrive, independent of the M Sport Package Pro. These refinements underscore BMW’s ongoing commitment to combining aesthetic appeal with cutting-edge lighting technology.

Enhanced Comfort and Practicality

BMW has extended its focus on premium comfort with updates to the BMW X3 interior. In vehicles equipped with Veganza and Merino upholstery, rear headrests and side sections of the second-row seats are now finished in the same upholstery colour, enhancing both luxury and cohesion.

Practicality is also a key theme: all BMW 5 Series, i5, and M5 Sedan and Touring models now feature a standard coat hook on the B-pillar, making the transportation of jackets and outerwear simpler and more convenient.

Smarter Connected Drive Features

BMW Connected Drive continues to enhance the ownership experience. The My BMW app’s Explore tab will now include a Charging Guide, offering step-by-step assistance on all aspects of electric vehicle charging, from optimising stops to practical “how-to” instructions.

Additionally, BMW Maps charge-optimised route planning for all-electric vehicles is now available in Operating System 8 and 8.5 models in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Romania, Serbia, and Singapore, further easing the transition to electric mobility for BMW drivers around the globe.

Autumn 2025 brings a comprehensive update to BMW’s lineup, combining enhanced performance, improved efficiency, and thoughtful features across multiple series. Whether it’s the increased power of the entry-level M models, new styling options for the 2 Series Gran Coupé, or upgraded comfort and connected technology in SUVs and sedans, BMW continues to ensure that driving pleasure, luxury, and practicality remain at the forefront.
