As November approaches, BMW and MINI are rolling out a series of updates that showcase the brands’ commitment to innovation and excellence. From the launch of new powertrains to enhanced hybrid charging capabilities and fresh personalisation options, both brands are broadening their appeal. Complementing these advancements, BMW Group UK has earned a slew of prestigious awards, underscoring the impact of its vehicles across the electrified, sports, and luxury segments.
Expanding BMW’s Model Line-up for 2024
BMW’s November updates highlight new additions across the lineup, including the introduction of the BMW 123 xDrive for the recently launched fourth-generation BMW 1 Series. This model, positioned between the 120 and the M135 xDrive, features a 218 hp electrified four-cylinder engine with 48V mild hybrid technology and all-wheel drive, providing enhanced grip and efficiency. The top-tier M135 xDrive now also boasts an exclusive M Technology Package, optimizing chassis components for precision handling and lightweight construction.
For enthusiasts of the BMW 5 Series Touring, two new variants—the 520i Touring and 550e xDrive—join the lineup. The 520i Touring brings a smooth 190 hp output paired with 48V mild hybrid support, while the powerful 550e xDrive combines a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with BMW’s advanced plug-in hybrid technology to achieve 489 hp, propelling it from 0 to 62 mph in an impressive 4.4 seconds. Additionally, the 5 Series plug-in hybrid models, along with the BMW X5 xDrive50e and the BMW M5 Saloon, now benefit from faster AC charging, reducing full charging times by up to 40%.
Enhanced Customization for MINI Fans
MINI is introducing more personalisation options across the Classic, Sport, and Exclusive trim levels, expanding their colour and wheel choices. The iconic British Racing Green joins the palette for the entire MINI family, while Sunnyside Yellow and Blazing Blue are now available on specific trims, bringing fresh vibrancy to the MINI Countryman and Cooper models. All petrol MINI Cooper Sport trims will now come with standard 17” Sprint Spoke Alloy wheels, while both Classic and Exclusive trims have gained new wheel design options, including the stylish 19” Runway Spoke Black alloy available across trims.
