Revolutionizing Ultra-Fast EV Charging: ZOOZ Power Expands Flywheel-Based Solutions on Israel’s Route 6
Tel Aviv, June 24th, 2024 – ZOOZ Power Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: ZOOZ), a trailblazer in flywheel-based power boosting for ultra-fast EV charging, has successfully launched its innovative solution at a second Dor-Alon station on Route 6, Israel’s bustling Cross-Israel Highway. This milestone follows the initial deployment in May 2024, marking a significant advancement in electric vehicle infrastructure.
In collaboration with Dor-Alon and Afcon Electric Transportation, ZOOZ Power enhances charging capabilities by leveraging stored kinetic energy and advanced energy management software. This approach not only supplements grid power but also maximizes the efficiency of existing charging infrastructure, doubling ultra-fast charging capacity without the need for costly grid upgrades.

These installations represent a global first, where each site now hosts four 150kW ultra-fast chargers, all powered by a modest 300kW grid connection. Previously, these sites accommodated far fewer chargers with higher grid demands, demonstrating ZOOZ Power’s ability to unlock substantial charging potential economically.
Avi Cohen, Executive Chairman of ZOOZ Power, emphasized the transformative impact of this technology: “Our partnership with Dor-Alon and AfconEV marks a significant leap forward in ultra-fast charging. By optimizing grid resources intelligently, we enable substantial revenue growth for site operators without the burden of extensive infrastructure investments.”
