Kia UK Limited has announced the winners of the 2022 Kia Dealer Excellence Awards, celebrating the best performing dealerships of the past year.

Each of the award winners were commended for their exceptional efforts over the past twelve months across sales, after sales and customer experience categories.

For the second consecutive year, the overall ‘Dealer of the Year’ award went to Gravells (Bridgend). This was followed by first time winners Sutton Park (Sutton Coldfield) and Acorn (Burntwood) in second and third place respectively.

The Sales Excellence Award was retained for the third consecutive year by Lookers (Stockport), their fifth win in this category in the past six years – a truly remarkable achievement.

In addition to its overall win, Gravells (Bridgend) was named the winner of the After Sales Excellence Award. The dealership was praised for its performance across the key metrics including parts, accessories and service plans.

For the first time in Kia Dealer Excellence Awards history, two dealers have been named as joint winners of the Customer Experience Award. Ken Jervis (Stoke-on-Trent) raised the bar again with its third consecutive win of this award, adding to its already impressive collection – this is the fifth time it has won this award, in addition to ranking in the top three every year for the past ten years.

Joint and first-time winner of the Customer Experience Award, F J Chalke (Mere) was commended for its outstanding customer focus and commitment to providing consistently high-quality customer service throughout the past year. The top 25 dealers in customer experience also earn an award.

The awards were announced at a special ‘Kia Together’ event attended by Kia’s dealer partners and Kia UK’s directors in honour of the milestone reached in 2022, when for the first time more than 100,000 cars were sold over the course of the year. Stimulating this success, the Sportage proved to be Kia’s most popular model, ending the year as the sixth best-selling car across the UK market. The year also saw an all-new Niro launched, Kia’s second best-selling model family, as well as the new XCeed and performance orientated EV6 GT – Kia’s most powerful model ever launched.

Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK Limited commented: “Congratulations to all winners, who each demonstrated exceptional service to our customers and represented our brand with excellence. Last year saw us achieve our long-term vision to grow from selling fewer than 30,000 new cars annually 15 years ago, to selling more than 100,000 for the first time in 2022. This is a simply massive achievement. We are immensely proud of our dealer partners who have each helped deliver a record market share for Kia last year, as well as continuous innovation in the face of unique challenges, ensuring customers and their communities are always placed at the heart of the business.”

The annual Kia Dealer Excellence Awards celebrate the best performers amongst the 191-strong Kia dealer partners, ranging from Sales and After Sales to Customer Experience and Dealer of the Year awards.
