Crewe, 5 August 2025 – Monterey Car Week is always a celebration of automotive artistry and heritage, but this year, Bentley Motors has elevated the occasion to an entirely new echelon. With a blend of historic icons, cutting-edge design studies, and the latest advancements in electrified performance, Bentley’s presence on the Californian peninsula is nothing short of extraordinary.
A Vision of Tomorrow: The EXP 15 Concept Debuts
At the heart of Bentley’s programme is the global public debut of the EXP 15 design vision concept, a bold statement of Bentley’s design direction. Set to be revealed on the Concept Lawn at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on 17 August, the EXP 15 draws inspiration from the legendary 1930 Bentley Speed Six Gurney Nutting Sportsman Coupe — affectionately known as the “Blue Train”. Its imposing upright grille, flowing ‘endless’ bonnet, and a cabin set dramatically rearward pay homage to this icon, while signalling Bentley’s future in electrified grand touring.
The Blue Train Returns
In a fitting tribute, the original “Blue Train” will also make its Monterey debut. A fixture of Bentley lore, the Speed Six Sportsman Coupe will be on view at the Home of Bentley and make appearances across the peninsula throughout the week. Located adjacent to Pebble Beach Lodge, the Home will also host a display of Bentley’s latest models, immersive craftsmanship showcases, and a co-creation studio where clients can design their own bespoke commissions with the brand’s expert designers.
The Continental GT Speed and Mulliner Make Waves at ‘The Quail’
At The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, Bentley’s future meets its most potent present. The fourth-generation Continental GT Speed takes centre stage, showcasing a groundbreaking ‘ombre’ paint technique – a Mulliner innovation that transitions seamlessly between two colour tones, front to rear. This new level of personalisation is now available for commission through Bentley’s in-house coachbuilding division.
Joining the GT Speed is the 650 PS Bentayga Speed, making its US public debut, alongside the new Batur Convertible, a striking creation from Mulliner also being shown in America for the first time.
Visitors to Monterey will not only admire these vehicles from afar — test drives of the latest Continental GT, GTC, Flying Spur, and Azure models will be available. These fourth-generation grand tourers introduce Bentley’s new High Performance Hybrid powertrain, which pairs a 4.0-litre V8 engine with an electric motor to produce a combined 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque. It’s a demonstration of Bentley’s commitment to performance without compromise, firmly steering toward its Beyond100 strategy.

Heritage on Display: Mark V Corniche Steps Into the Spotlight
Adding a rich historical layer to the festivities, Bentley will unveil the 1939 Mark V Corniche from its Heritage Collection — attending Pebble Beach for the first time in history. A unique one-off, the Corniche was originally conceived as an aerodynamic study just before the Second World War. Although the original body was lost during the war, a meticulous restoration effort using original chassis and archival drawings culminated in its resurrection for Bentley’s centenary in 2019.
With its pre-war registration GRA270 restored, the Corniche will participate in the Tour d’Elegance on 14 August, before gracing the Pebble Beach Concours field on Sunday 17 August, marking the first time this reborn classic has been seen outside Europe.
Surf, Style, and Sustainability
Adding a touch of California lifestyle to the week, Bentley has created a handcrafted, one-off surfboard featuring Koa veneer from its Crewe woodshop. Commissioned to be auctioned by Bonhams, the surfboard’s proceeds will support SurfabilityUK – a pioneering adaptive surf school that empowers people with physical or developmental challenges to connect with the ocean. It’s a seamless blend of craftsmanship and compassion, true to Bentley’s values.
A Week of Automotive Excellence
With a full spectrum of past, present, and future on display, Bentley’s return to Monterey Car Week is a masterclass in storytelling through design, innovation, and heritage. Whether it’s the ground-breaking EXP 15, the handcrafted elegance of the Corniche, or the thrilling promise of electrified performance, Bentley’s showcase this year is not just a celebration of automotive beauty — it’s a statement of intent.
For those fortunate enough to attend, this is not just Monterey Car Week — it is Bentley’s stage.
