Today, on International Men’s Day, Ben is proud to launch its new Men’s Health Awareness training, designed to provide employees across the automotive industry with the knowledge and tools to understand and support men’s physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing.
With over 82% of the UK automotive workforce made up of men—and one in five men dying before the age of 65—Ben is shining a vital light on men’s health, encouraging open conversations and practical support across the industry. This training is suitable for anyone working in the automotive sector, from people managers to colleagues of all genders.
Training benefits include:
- Insights into key health challenges and risks affecting men
- Strategies to build resilience, skills, and confidence in managing men’s health
- A clear understanding of personal wellbeing
- Knowledge to recognise, support, and empower men’s health at work and beyond
- Practical guidance on holding supportive conversations
- A comprehensive toolkit packed with useful resources
The course is offered face-to-face or virtually, providing a flexible and engaging learning environment for automotive employees.
This Men’s Health Awareness training is the latest addition to Ben’s growing suite of learning products, following the launch of its Equality, Diversity & Inclusion course, and ahead of the Women’s Health Awareness course, coming in the New Year.
Investing in employee wellbeing
All profits from BenTraining bookings go directly back into Ben’s mission: providing free, confidential health and wellbeing support for life to those working, or who have worked, in the automotive industry and their families.
Over 99% of respondents in Ben’s recent survey reported being personally affected by a health or wellbeing issue, highlighting the importance of supporting employees proactively.
Julie Hayes, Specialist Services Lead at Ben, commented:
“With a high proportion of males working in the industry, we’re pleased to launch this new Men’s Health Awareness training. Too often, common health and wellbeing concerns go unspoken – and that silence can have a serious impact. This training equips everyone with the tools and resources to improve men’s health and wellbeing across the industry.
“We are committed to supporting everyone in the automotive industry, in all roles and life stages. With our expertise built over 120 years, we deliver training that helps automotive people genuinely thrive in their work and home lives. Empowering our employees to prioritise their health and wellbeing builds stronger, more resilient teams, and we look forward to partnering with employers to achieve this.”
