Johannesburg, 18 August 2025 – BAIC South Africa is preparing to make a commanding appearance at this year’s Festival of Motoring, hosted at the iconic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit from 29–31 August. As the country’s premier automotive showcase, the festival will serve as the stage for the highly anticipated public debut of the all-new BAIC B30, set to officially launch locally later this year.
The unveiling of the B30 marks a pivotal moment for BAIC in South Africa. Positioned to broaden the brand’s offering, the new model underscores BAIC’s ambition to meet the needs of a wider spectrum of drivers while reinforcing its reputation as one of the fastest-growing automotive names in the market.
A Line-Up of Distinction
While the B30 will take centre stage, BAIC will also highlight two of its most prominent models. The X55 Plus, a sleek and technologically advanced SUV, has swiftly established itself as a serious contender in the compact segment. Alongside it, the B40 Plus Honor Edition will showcase the brand’s rugged off-road credentials, appealing to adventurers seeking capability and confidence in the toughest conditions.
Together, these vehicles represent the breadth of BAIC’s growing line-up, balancing urban sophistication with unflinching off-road performance.
Bringing BAIC to Life
Festival visitors can expect more than static displays. BAIC’s presence will extend to the 4×4 track and self-driving area, where the brand’s vehicles will be put through their paces in interactive and dynamic demonstrations. From off-road challenges to test-drive opportunities, attendees will have the chance to engage with BAIC in an immersive way, experiencing firsthand the versatility and innovation behind the badge.

A Stage for Growth
The Festival of Motoring has cemented its position as the largest industry-backed motoring event on the continent, drawing tens of thousands of enthusiasts, families, and professionals each year. For BAIC, participation represents more than visibility – it signals the brand’s rapid growth, deepening commitment to the South African market, and readiness to compete at the highest level.
“Festival of Motoring 2025 is about energy, excitement, and giving the public hands-on experiences. For BAIC, it is the perfect moment to reveal the B30 to South Africa for the very first time and showcase what our brand represents today,” said Ameena Hassan, Brand & PR Manager at BAIC South Africa.
Setting the Pace
With the debut of the all-new B30, and the strong representation of the X55 Plus and B40 Plus Honor Edition, BAIC’s presence at the Festival of Motoring 2025 will be a statement of intent. By combining bold design, advanced technology, and adventurous spirit, the brand is placing itself firmly at the heart of South Africa’s motoring conversation – and setting the pace for what’s to come.
