Founded in 1933 by engineer Baden Powell and his wife Dora, the company started life as a humble bicycle shop. By the 1940s, it had expanded into motor repairs, with Baden lending his expertise to military vehicles during the Second World War. This invaluable experience laid the foundation for a business built on engineering excellence, professionalism, and customer care. Following the war, as car ownership soared across Scunthorpe, Baden Powell shifted focus entirely to motor vehicles, establishing a reputation that has endured for generations.
Today, Baden Powell remains a family-run business, celebrated for its professionalism, reliability, and welcoming customer service. Many members of its team have been with the dealership for decades, with three employees boasting over 40 years of service—an enduring testament to the family values and commitment that continue to shape the company.
As a newly appointed KGM dealer, Baden Powell will offer the full KGM Motors UK model range. Highlights include the flagship 7-seater Rexton SUV, the award-winning Musso pick-up, the versatile Korando, and the compact Tivoli, alongside the all-new hybrid models Torres HEV and Actyon HEV, and the bold, fully electric Torres EVX.
