Cambiano, Italy – 21 August 2024 – Automobili Pininfarina, the prestigious luxury automotive brand, has unveiled a bespoke-commission Battista hyper GT that honors its roots in Cambiano, Italy. This exclusive model was revealed at the renowned Monterey Car Week, a fitting tribute to the birthplace of Pininfarina’s automotive masterpieces.
The Battista, aptly named ‘A Piece of Cambiano in California’, reflects the deep connection between the Italian town and the automaker’s design and craftsmanship. Every Pininfarina vehicle is meticulously curated and handcrafted in Cambiano, where the brand’s artistic vision and client preferences merge to create unparalleled automotive art.
A Tribute to Cambiano
The Battista’s unique design elements vividly celebrate Cambiano. The exterior livery includes a detailed regional map and a schematic of the Battista production line, showcased on the underside of the active rear wing. This symbolic detail mirrors the heart of Pininfarina’s craftsmanship. Laser-engraved door plates further echo this homage with inscriptions like “Where Everything Starts” and “Fatto Con Amore in Italia” (Made with Love in Italy), reinforcing the personal and geographical significance of the vehicle.
Further personalizing the Battista, clients have the exclusive option to choose their own Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The unique 17-digit VIN of this model concludes with 020, a nod to Cambiano’s postal district, 10020. This detail exemplifies the extensive customization available to Pininfarina clients, allowing them to embed personal significance into their vehicles.

Unveiling at Monterey Car Week
The Battista’s debut is a highlight of Automobili Pininfarina’s presence at Monterey Car Week. Following the reveals of the Bruce Wayne-inspired B95 Gotham and the Battista Targamerica, this bespoke Battista underscores the brand’s commitment to bespoke excellence and innovation. The event also marked the first-ever Battista Owners’ Parade, showcasing 10 of these exceptional vehicles on the scenic roads around the Californian peninsula.
Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina, expressed the emotional resonance of the Battista, stating, “With its unique and intimate connection to Cambiano, this Battista holds a truly special place in the heart of everyone at Automobili Pininfarina. We have lovingly curated a car that proudly displays the unmatched sophistication and finesse of our design heritage that stretches back almost 95 years.”
Continued Success and Future Directions
The Monterey Car Week has proven to be a resounding success for Automobili Pininfarina, marking the fifth consecutive year of the brand’s participation. Paolo Dellachà, Chief Executive Officer, highlighted the significance of this year’s event, “This year’s Monterey Car Week has been a great success for our brand.
