Johannesburg, South Africa – October 2025

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Automechanika Johannesburg 2025 returns stronger than ever with a focused line-up of conferences, talks, awards and activations designed to unite every link in the automotive value chain. Organised by Messe Frankfurt South Africa, this milestone edition of the continent’s largest trade fair for the automotive aftermarket will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre from 28–30 October 2025, offering an unmatched platform for innovation, learning and collaboration.

With exhibitors spanning Parts & Components, Accessories & Customising, Management & Digital Solutions, Repair & Maintenance, Car Wash & Reconditioning, and Electronics & Systems, this year’s show puts a sharp spotlight on the technologies and strategies driving mobility forward.

Exploring the Future of Mobility: NEVs, Human Capital, and Digital Logistics

A major highlight on the 2025 agenda is the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Conference, presented in partnership with CILT South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Under the theme “An Exploration of the Latest Developments in New Energy Vehicles”, the conference will connect logistics and transport leaders from across the region to discuss how energy transition, skills development, and sustainability are reshaping the sector.

By integrating discussions on human capital, green mobility and digital logistics, the CILT Conference positions itself as an essential gathering for professionals shaping the next era of African transport.

Technology, Sustainability and the Next Era of Body Repair

The Crash Repairers Association (CRA) Conference will bring together OEMs, insurers, and repair experts to chart the future of the body repair industry.

As a paid conference, delegates will access deep-dive sessions into emerging repair standards, enabling technologies, and sustainability practices. Participants will also have the chance to engage directly with suppliers, viewing the latest repair tools, diagnostic systems and eco-friendly solutions first-hand.

Complementing this is the Right to Repair SA Talk, themed “Access to Technical Information – A Vital Piece in the Puzzle.” This free-to-attend session underscores why open access to vehicle data is vital for workshops, mechanics and aftermarket businesses to remain competitive, ensuring transparency and quality for customers.

Empowering the Repair and Maintenance Ecosystem

Returning to the show floor, the MIWA Spanner Torque Pavilion will once again unite workshops, component manufacturers, and end users under one roof.

Adding an interactive twist, the Retail Motor Industry Organisation (RMI) will host an energetic car door wrapping competition, showcasing technical skill and creativity in the trade.

In parallel, the Alexandra Automotive Industrial Hub Showcase takes centre stage, accompanied by a Panel Discussion titled “Unlocking Opportunities: Empowering Township SMMEs in the Automotive Value Chain.” Hosted by the City of Johannesburg, this session highlights the importance of inclusive development, empowering township enterprises to actively participate in South Africa’s growing automotive economy.

Recognising Excellence in Fleet Safety and Operations

The MasterDrive Fleet Safety Awards will once again celebrate exceptional performance and innovation within South Africa’s fleet management community.

With R250,000 in prizes and categories such as Best Fleet Manager, Road Warrior, Best Organisation, Most Improved Truck Stop, and Sustainability Leader, these awards champion safety, operational excellence, and technological advancement—values that ultimately protect lives and improve standards across the transport landscape.

A Platform Built Around Real Priorities

Automechanika Johannesburg 2025 is built around the real priorities of our market: skills, standards, digitalisation, sustainability and safety,” says Michael Dehn, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt South Africa.

“By bringing together the region’s leading voices through the CILT and CRA conferences, the Right to Repair SA Talk, the MIWA Spanner Torque Pavilion, the Alexandra Automotive Industrial Hub Showcase, and the MasterDrive Fleet Safety Awards, we’re creating a practical platform for knowledge-sharing and partnership that accelerates progress across the automotive and logistics ecosystem.

“We’re particularly excited about the Township Development & Panel Discussion on empowering township SMMEs, which reflects our commitment to inclusive growth across the automotive value chain.”

Driving Collaboration Across the Value Chain

Beyond its rich content, Automechanika Johannesburg 2025 offers unmatched opportunities to connect, collaborate and source solutions—from policy and standards development to hands-on demonstrations of next-generation technologies.

The show’s Business Matchmaking Programme ensures every participant, whether a workshop owner, fleet manager, supplier, or strategic leader, can engage in targeted networking that translates into meaningful partnerships.

With a programme designed around innovation, skills development and sustainability, Automechanika Johannesburg 2025 is not just a trade fair—it’s the driving force behind southern Africa’s mobility future.

Secure your place at the conferences and experiences shaping tomorrow’s automotive landscape.
