The SA Innovation Summit has become a noteworthy South African event, aspiring to raise awareness in innovation, facilitate collaboration and amplify South Africa’s competitive edge and accelerate economic growth. Audi South Africa is proud to be associated with the South African Innovation Summit in 2014 as a sponsor of the CEO Spotlight Debate and is pleased to have Siya Xuza, Audi Brand Ambassador and Innovator, as a keynote speaker at the Summit.
In its seven years of existence, the Summit’s greatest achievement was to engage the top echelon of SA’s leading minds in academia, industry and government to support innovation. It has also contributed to the birth of the South African Innovation Network (SAINe) in 2009. SA’s premier innovation event of the year brings together thought leaders and practitioners in the field of innovation to showcase success stories, share lessons learnt, connect with peers and be inspired by true South African innovators. This year’s summit will be held at Greenpoint Stadium from the 16th to the 18th of September.
Siya Xuza:
Audi Brand Ambassador, Siya Xuza, will address the South African Innovation Summit on the 16th of September and will share his experiences that led him to become one of South Africa’s greatest innovators. At the age of 25, Siya is regarded as one of South Africa’s top scientists. He studied at Harvard University in the United States and even has a large asteroid named after him by NASA in honour of his work developing a record-breaking, safer and more energy efficient rocket fuel.
Siya has also been elected as a fellow of the African Leadership Network, a group of dynamic, influential and successful leaders and entrepreneurs in Africa who are poised to shape Africa’s future over the next decade. He recently became the youngest member of the African Union-affiliated Africa 2.0 energy advisory panel.
