Johannesburg, May 2024 — All new Audi vehicles come standard with the Audi Freeway Plan (AFP), a comprehensive five-year/100,000km service and maintenance programme designed to provide customers with hassle-free motoring and increased value for the duration of the contract. Audi South Africa now offers an extension option for the AFP, allowing coverage for up to 15 years or 300,000km, previously capped at 10 years/300,000km. This enhancement further solidifies Audi’s commitment to setting benchmarks in the premium automotive sector.

This extended coverage is ideal for customers who plan to keep their vehicles for longer periods, ensuring their vehicle’s service and maintenance needs are met throughout the term.

The AFP Extension programme allows Audi customers to tailor their extensions to specific needs. Plans can be customized based on time or mileage, with options for service-only or full maintenance coverage. Moreover, the AFP can be extended at any point before the existing plan expires, with no waiting period. Customers purchasing a new vehicle can also include the AFP Extension cost in their financing structure through Audi Financial Services.

“As vehicles age, maintenance requirements increase, potentially raising ownership costs and financial pressure on consumers,” says Sascha Sauer, Head of Audi South Africa. “With the Audi Freeway Plan Extension, customers opting to keep their vehicles longer can enjoy significant peace of mind, free from the worry of service and maintenance expenses.”

Sauer adds, “Additionally, if customers choose to sell their vehicle while the AFP Extension is still valid, they can be assured it will be more attractive to buyers seeking maximum value and convenience.”

Key benefits of the AFP Extension include:

  • Immediate coverage with no waiting period.
  • All scheduled services are covered with no hidden costs.
  • Protection against inflationary increases on Audi Genuine Parts.
  • Unlimited claim values.
  • Coverage for services, wear-and-tear items, and specific repairs following an Audi Dealer assessment.
  • Warranty against defective workmanship and parts, provided AFP policy terms and conditions are upheld.
  • Audi Assist roadside assistance for emergency support.

Value Convenience with Audi Value Service

For vehicles no longer covered by the Audi Freeway Plan, Audi South Africa offers the Value Service option, an innovative and cost-effective package covering vehicles aged six to 13 years with mileage under 270,000km.

The Audi Value Service is a short-term contract covering two oil change services over two years/30,000km, including comprehensive roadside assistance and the use of only Audi Genuine Parts. Starting at R6,079, the Value Service can be activated through any Audi Dealer.
