Audi Introduces the Highly Efficient Rear-Wheel Drive Q6 SUV e-tron Performance Variant
Ingolstadt, May 29, 2024 – Audi proudly announces a new addition to the Q6 SUV e-tron lineup, ahead of its official market launch in August. The latest variant, the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron Performance, is a highly efficient rear-wheel drive model equipped with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery (94.9 kWh net). This new model boasts an impressive range of up to 392 miles based on the WLTP cycle, making it the top performer in the Q6 SUV e-tron family in terms of electric range.
Designed on the flexible Premium Platform Electric (PPE), the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron Performance is the first in the lineup to feature purely rear-wheel drive. This variant will be available for order in the UK later this summer at a starting price of £63,475 (MDP).
Efficient Performance and Exceptional Range
The Audi Q6 SUV e-tron marks a significant milestone in Audi’s electric vehicle offerings. Earlier this year, during its world premiere in March, Audi unveiled two variants: the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron quattro, delivering a system output of 388PS, and the SQ6 SUV e-tron, which reaches up to 517PS with launch control engaged.
The newest addition, the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron Performance, features a robust permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM) that delivers a system output of 306PS. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.7 seconds. When launch control is activated, the output increases to 326PS, reducing the 0-62 mph time to 6.6 seconds. These figures make the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron Performance a compelling choice for those seeking an extended electric range combined with dynamic performance and everyday practicality.

Rapid Charging and Market Introduction
With a charging capacity of up to 260 kW, the Audi Q6 SUV e-tron Performance can add 161 miles of range in just 10 minutes at a suitable HPC charging station. This rapid charging capability enhances the vehicle’s appeal for long-distance driving and quick turnaround times during travel.
The Audi Q6 SUV e-tron Performance is set to join the market in the third quarter of this year. It will complement the already impressive lineup of the Q6 SUV e-tron, which includes the quattro and SQ6 variants, both scheduled for customer deliveries starting in August.
Additionally, Audi plans to introduce an entry-level rear-wheel drive variant, the Q6 SUV e-tron, later this summer, further expanding the options available to customers seeking high efficiency and cutting-edge electric performance.
