Audi South Africa is proud to announce the opening of the brand’s first Terminal building in the Eastern Cape.
Audi Centre East London officially opened its new Terminal with a spectacular opening event held on Saturday, 16 March 2013. The showroom floor accommodates twelve new vehicles and nine Pre-owned vehicles. The Dealership is located in a prominent position on Wyse Avenue and spans 1 450m², also providing high visibility and easy access to customers alongside the National road en route to Umtata. The Dealership is owned by the NTT Group.
The official opening event was well-attended by customers of Audi Centre East London and guests of honour, which included the MEC for Local Government and Traditional Affairs, Mr Mlibo Qoboshiyane; and Mr Saki Macozoma, non-executive Director for the Volkswagen Group of South Africa, who was also the keynote speaker for the evening. The evening was also attended by Fred Whelpton and Louie Barnes, Directors of NTT Group, as well as Clarence Mngadi, partner of the NTT Group. The Master of Ceremony for the evening was Katlego Maboe, host of popular morning TV show Espresso.

Audi is aspiring to be the most attractive automotive franchise by the year 2020 and Audi Centre East London is yet another step in that direction within the South African market. Transformation of the Audi Dealer network commenced in December 2009 with the opening of Audi Centre Hatfield – the first Audi Terminal on the African continent. Between 2012 and 2013, fourteen Audi Dealerships across the country would have undergone reconstruction, which accounts for 32% of the Audi Dealer Network. In 2012 alone, five new Terminals (11% of the Network) were completed.
