These highly exclusive creations reinterpret the spirit of open-top grand touring through unique specifications for both the all-conquering Vanquish Volante and the world’s first super tourer, the DB12 Volante. Each model will be produced in just 60 examples worldwide, underscoring their rarity and desirability.
A Legacy of Open-Top Excellence
First introduced in 1965, the Volante name debuted on the now-iconic Short Chassis Volante – a model of which only 37 examples were built, instantly cementing its status as one of the rarest Aston Martins in history. Since then, Volante has come to define Aston Martin convertibles, marrying the sensory thrill of roof-down driving with the marque’s hallmark elegance and performance.
Today, that legacy finds new expression in two modern masterpieces. The Vanquish Volante, Aston Martin’s V12 flagship, stands as the most powerful production convertible the marque has ever created. Alongside it, the DB12 Volante brings a more versatile interpretation of open-air performance, combining refinement and everyday usability with an unmistakable sporting edge.
Performance at the Pinnacle
The Vanquish Volante commands attention with its 5.2-litre V12 twin-turbocharged engine, delivering an astonishing 835PS and 1000Nm of torque. With a top speed of 214 mph and a 0–60 mph sprint of 3.4 seconds, it represents the zenith of Aston Martin’s convertible engineering.
Meanwhile, the DB12 Volante embodies the marque’s vision for the modern grand tourer. Powered by a hand-built 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo producing 680PS and 800Nm, it balances raw dynamism with long-distance refinement. Reaching 202 mph and accelerating from 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds, the DB12 Volante redefines versatility in the open-top segment.
Both cars are equipped with lightweight K-fold roofs, designed for speed, refinement, and practicality. Opening in just 14 seconds and closing in 16 – even at speeds up to 31 mph – the roof system preserves luggage capacity without compromising elegance.
Q by Aston Martin: Craftsmanship Elevated
For these milestone editions, Q by Aston Martin has created a specification inspired by the brand’s rich heritage. The cars are finished in Q Pentland Green with a Q Westminster Green hood, accented by anodised bronze detailing that adds quiet confidence and unmistakable distinction.
Highlights include:
- A reimagined vaned grille in anodised bronze, both functional and commanding.
- 21-inch satin bronze Q wheels with diamond-turned edges, paired with black brake calipers for an assertive stance.
- Anodised bronze side strakes, precision-milled from billet aluminium, enhancing stability while signalling exclusivity with a bespoke enamelled Q by Aston Martin badge.
Inside, the cabin is defined by a tri-tone palette of Centenary Saddle Tan, Ivory and Woven leather, contrasted with Dark Walnut Open Pore veneers and accented by bronze touchpoints. Special 60th Anniversary embroidery and etched seatbacks ensure each edition is a unique commemoration of Volante’s heritage.
