Johannesburg, 6 March 2026 – Lexus South Africa has announced a new partnership with LIV Golf, the global league known for blending elite sporting competition with entertainment and culture. The collaboration marks a significant milestone for both brands locally and reflects Lexus’ ongoing commitment to innovation, luxury experiences and the pursuit of excellence.
The partnership will see Lexus serve as the official vehicle partner of the LIV Golf South Africa tournament, scheduled to take place at The Club at Steyn City from 19 to 22 March 2026. The event represents the first collaboration of its kind between the two brands in the local market and is expected to draw both local and international attention.
As part of the agreement, Lexus South Africa will provide a fleet of 45 premium vehicles to support tournament operations and logistics. The fleet will include the GX, RX, NX and the recently launched fully electric RZ, ensuring seamless mobility for players, officials and event staff throughout the tournament. The initiative highlights Lexus’ focus on delivering refined mobility solutions while elevating the guest and participant experience.
“Our partnership with LIV Golf South Africa reflects Lexus’ commitment to creating remarkable experiences that go beyond the drive. Being part of the LIV Golf event on home soil is a powerful opportunity for us to connect with a new generation of sports and lifestyle audiences, while showcasing the performance, design and refinement that defines the Lexus brand. We’re proud to support a platform that brings world-class sport closer to fans, both on and off the course,” said Glenn Crompton, Vice President Marketing at Lexus South Africa.
The collaboration brings together two globally recognised brands that share a common philosophy centred on performance, innovation and premium experiences. For LIV Golf, the partnership further strengthens its presence in South Africa as the league continues to expand its global footprint.
Chris Bentley, LIV Golf’s Regional Managing Director of South Africa, welcomed the partnership, saying the addition of Lexus enhances the overall experience surrounding the tournament. “LIV Golf South Africa is one of the marquee events on our global schedule, and we’re thrilled to have Lexus South Africa as our main vehicle partner. This collaboration reflects LIV Golf’s ongoing commitment to working with major brands to elevate the player and event experience and provide premium value on a global level. This partnership strengthens our local presence and will enhance the experience for players, partners and fans alike,” he said.
Beyond the on-course competition, the event will deliver a festival-like atmosphere designed to appeal to a wide audience. Fans can expect four nights of live concerts, an immersive Fan Village, premium food experiences curated by local chefs and a dedicated Family Fairway area. Premium hospitality offerings will also be available for guests seeking an elevated viewing experience.
Lexus will also maintain a strong on-site presence throughout the tournament, activating the brand through interactive displays and fan-focused experiences that highlight its leadership in technology, innovation and design. These activations are intended to bring the Lexus brand closer to spectators while complementing the overall entertainment experience.
LIV Golf South Africa forms part of the league’s 14-event global schedule and further positions the country as a destination for world-class sporting events. The international calendar also includes tournaments in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico City, the United Kingdom and New York.
