HONDA TO FOCUS ON LIFESTYLE AT AMiD SHOW

Honda, one of the major players in the local motorcycle industry, are going to focus on the Honda Lifestyle with its display and activities at the AMiD Motorcycle Lifestyle Show, which takes place at Expo Centre, Nasrec, from August 24-26.

Honda at AMID Motorcycle Show

Among the highlights of the display will be the VFR1200X in full Adventure trim, the newly-launched dual-purpose CRF250L and the super economical Vision 110 scooter. Among the activities at the show will be the opportunity to test ride the Vision and stand a chance to win one of these easy-to-ride machines.

The VFR1200X was shown as a concept model at the Milan EICMA show in 2010 and the company believes the Crosstourer will deliver all the fun and excitement of a sports tourer with a comfortable, upright riding position and the manoeuvrability of an adventure machine, underpinned by Honda’s expertise with V4 engines and the benefits of its dual clutch transmission.

The new addition to the range of Honda motorcycles sold in SA, the CRF250L has come in response to customers looking for top-level performance off-road with the practicality of weekday use in an urban environment. The 250cc power plant delivers 17kW of power and 22Nm of torque and drives the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission. Priced at R39 900 the CRF250L is seen as offering outstanding value in terms of meeting the dual purpose requirements of an on- and off-roader.

Honda sees its Vision 110 scooter as an important product for attracting the new generation to the world of two-wheelers.  Electric starting, a low seat height and spacious under seat storage are all aimed at convenience, while fuel injection of the 110cc engine contributes to achieving fuel consumption as low as 2,3l/100km and a top speed of 100km/h. breaking is by a system that links the front disc brake and the rear run for optimum stopping capability.
