Bristol, UK – 19 September 2025: Amalgam Collection, the world’s premier creator of hand-built large-scale model cars, has unveiled its full suite of McLaren MCL39 models, just in time for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The release celebrates McLaren’s landmark 2025 season, highlighted by Lando Norris’s victory and Oscar Piastri’s ninth-place finish at the Australian Grand Prix, with the team having already secured the Constructors’ Championship.
The collection features three exceptional offerings: the 1:8 scale MCL39, a full-size replica MCL39 steering wheel, and a new 1:18 scale model, each meticulously hand-built using original McLaren CAD data and race-accurate paint codes.
1:8 Scale McLaren MCL39 – £8,995 / $11,995 / €10,995
At over 70cm in length, the 1:8 scale MCL39 is an engineering marvel. Each model takes more than 2,500 hours of development and 250 hours of hand assembly to complete, incorporating thousands of precision-engineered components. Editions are strictly limited to 99 pieces per driver, offering collectors a chance to own a faithful miniature of McLaren’s 2025 race car in Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri livery.
Full-Size MCL39 Steering Wheel – £6,995 / $9,495 / €8,495
The full-size replica steering wheel is a hand-assembled, fully functional recreation of the race-used component. Limited to 99 pieces per driver, it features working buttons, switches, rotaries, and paddles, each developed over 1,200 hours and hand-finished over 120 hours to replicate the exact feel, weight, and functionality of the drivers’ own wheels.
1:18 Scale McLaren MCL39 – £1,050 / $1,450 / €1,295
Rounding out the collection, the 1:18 scale MCL39 measures over 31cm in length and embodies Amalgam’s trademark attention to detail. Developed over 800 hours, it features finely engineered castings, photo-etched details, and CNC-machined metal components, offering collectors a smaller yet equally precise representation of the MCL39.
Sandy Copeman, Founder of Amalgam Collection, commented:
“McLaren’s performance in Melbourne set the tone for their 2025 campaign, and we’re proud to capture that moment across a full model collection. Whether at 1:8, 1:18, or full-size steering wheel scale, each piece reflects the technical brilliance and excitement of modern Formula 1. These are not just models—they are limited-edition artworks, and owning one is like owning a piece of automotive history.”
As McLaren continues its remarkable 2025 season, these ultra-limited models provide fans and collectors alike with a unique way to celebrate the team’s achievements, combining artistry, precision engineering, and a passion for Formula 1.
