September 2nd, 2025 – Netherlands / Germany / Slovakia
AM Group has announced the acquisition of UBC Composites, a European leader in advanced carbon fibre components, marking a pivotal step in its strategy to expand engineering and production capabilities across premium and niche industries. With manufacturing facilities in Murr, Germany and Kostolné Kračany, Slovakia, UBC is now set to become an integral part of AM Group’s growing international portfolio.
A Strategic Fit for Growth
For decades, UBC has established itself as a trusted partner for high-end carbon fibre solutions, producing both structural and aesthetic components for premium automotive clients and beyond. With expertise spanning engineering, prototyping, and serial production, the company brings world-class know-how that strengthens AM Group’s positioning at the top end of the market.
While premium automotive remains a central focus, the acquisition opens new avenues in defence, yachting, aerospace, and renewable energy—all industries demanding innovation, performance, and uncompromising quality.
“With UBC, we are not only adding world-class carbon fibre production to our group, but also a strong team and a proven reputation for quality and innovation. This acquisition moves AM Group firmly into the Champions League of premium automotive engineering and advanced composites,”
said Luis Carrera and Patrick Meijer, Founders of AM Group.

Continuity with Added Strength
AM Group has confirmed that all 170 employees across both sites will remain in place, preserving valuable expertise and client relationships. Existing OEM and high-end customers are assured of continuity: the same teams, the same standards, and the same service they have come to rely on.
At the same time, UBC stands to benefit from fresh investment, access to new business opportunities within AM Group, and enhanced technical resources, creating a secure foundation for long-term innovation and growth.
“When selecting a partner for UBC, our priority was to secure both stability and growth. AM Group brings the right combination: financial strength, direct new business, and a strategic fit with our expertise in high-end carbon fibre. Together we can build on UBC’s reputation and position the company for a strong future, not only in premium automotive, but also in other complex niche sectors such as defence, yachting, aerospace, and renewable energy,”
said Peter Gerl, Managing Director of UBC Composites.
Unlocking New Synergies
UBC will continue under its current leadership in both Germany and Slovakia, ensuring a seamless transition for employees and customers alike. There will be no changes to employment, locations, or working conditions, underlining AM Group’s commitment to stability while unlocking new synergies between its specialist companies.
The acquisition represents more than just additional capacity—it signals AM Group’s ambition to accelerate design, engineering, and customisation while delivering greater capability to OEMs and niche clients worldwide.
