Alpine is gearing up for its third and final season in the FIA World Endurance Championship, determined to make its mark with the Alpine A424 Hypercar. Building on a journey that began in 2013, the team enters the 2026 season with refined experience, renewed ambition, and a livery that reflects both the programme’s maturity and its French heritage.
Following a landmark first victory at the 2025 6 Hours of Fuji, Alpine Endurance Team has spent the off-season honing the A424, incorporating targeted aerodynamic developments while remaining fully compliant with FIA WEC regulations. The updated livery amplifies the Hypercar’s character lines, showcasing the iconic blue, white, and red of the French flag—a visual testament to Alpine’s identity and evolution.
The #35 Alpine A424 features a strong driver lineup with Portuguese star António Félix da Costa joining veterans Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi. Meanwhile, the #36 sister car maintains an all-French crew, with Jules Gounon, Frédéric Makowiecki, and endurance rookie Victor Martins combining their strengths to push the team forward.
Team Principal Philippe Sinault and Sporting Director Nicolas Lapierre lead Alpine into the championship with the aim of challenging for top positions in every round. The eight-race season spans four continents, featuring the world-renowned 24 Hours of Le Mans and pitting Alpine against seven of the most prestigious manufacturers in motorsport.
Axel Plasse, VP Alpine Tech, highlighted the team’s focus: “We have a busy year ahead of us in the FIA WEC. We are fully committed and determined to deliver our best in every race of the championship.”
After a season of learning and two podium finishes in 2024, Alpine Endurance Team has systematically strengthened its approach, ensuring the A424 is not only fast but resilient across the full championship. With the combined experience of Milesi, Habsburg, and the rest of the driver roster, the team is poised to fight consistently at the sharp end of the field.
