Driven by Alpine F1 driver Pierre Gasly, the A290 turned heads as it was showcased during the red-carpet arrival of Formula 1 stars. Accompanying Gasly in the passenger seat was his teammate, Jack Doohan, both of whom had the honor of introducing this eagerly awaited vehicle at the sport’s most significant anniversary celebration.
The F1 75 Live event marked a historic milestone for the motorsport community, commemorating Formula 1’s 75th anniversary in a spectacular display of unity, where all 10 F1 teams unveiled their 2025 season liveries. This exclusive event was attended by over 15,000 fans, with millions more watching the live-streamed broadcast worldwide. For Alpine, the A290’s road debut provided the perfect opportunity to showcase its motorsport-inspired design and performance.

The launch was such a big occasion—but the car more than lived up to it. It was so special to turn up in front of the crowds in a vehicle that won’t even launch in the UK until next month. Everyone was asking what this amazing mystery car was—and now they know!”

The A290 is powered by a choice of two versions: a 180hp model with 285Nm of torque and a 220hp model with 300Nm of torque. Furthermore, the A290 supports rapid charging, enabling drivers to charge from 15-80% in just 30 minutes—ideal for those on the go.
