As Alpine marks its 70th anniversary, the brand is celebrating more than just its iconic cars—it is shining a light on the craftsmanship, expertise, and vision that have shaped its identity. The fifth episode of the “Alpine, 70 Years” series focuses on the unique know-how that allows Alpine to legitimately position itself as a premium manufacturer, showcasing how French excellence remains at the heart of its operations.

The Value of Made in France

In a fiercely competitive automotive landscape, a strong and distinctive identity is essential. For Alpine, this identity is deeply rooted in France. Sovany Ang, VP Product Performance at Alpine, emphasizes the importance of asserting this national and cultural distinction.

“We are developing an entire French industrial ecosystem to offer cars made in France,” Ang explains. By drawing on the expertise of its teams and partners, Alpine demonstrates that premium performance and French craftsmanship are not mutually exclusive—they are inseparable.

This commitment extends beyond marketing. Alpine’s focus on local production ensures that every car benefits from a close-knit ecosystem of innovation, engineering, and precision. By emphasizing French manufacturing, Alpine not only honors its heritage but also strengthens its credibility in the premium segment.

Alpine 70 years celebrating expertise and french excellence

Excellence as a Guiding Principle

At the heart of this French manufacturing ethos lies the Manufacture Alpine Jean Rédélé in Dieppe—a symbol of Alpine’s dedication to quality and meticulous attention to detail. Factory director Nicolas Renaud shares insights into the rigorous measures taken to maintain the highest standards. Every stage of production, from assembly to finishing, reflects Alpine’s relentless pursuit of excellence.

Equally critical is Alpine’s approach to partnerships. Capucine Lorenzi, Chief Operating Officer, explains the careful selection of technical partners and suppliers. “We select suppliers based on their expertise and competitiveness. Quality is a non-negotiable,” she says. This uncompromising stance ensures that every component, every detail, lives up to Alpine’s exacting standards.

Alpine’s dedication to excellence goes beyond the factory floor. It is embedded in a philosophy that values precision, innovation, and the pursuit of perfection. This combination of technical skill and uncompromising quality forms the backbone of Alpine’s premium identity, reinforcing its position as a French automotive icon on the world stage.

Seventy years on, Alpine continues to demonstrate that true premium value is not just about performance or design—it is about an unwavering commitment to expertise, local craftsmanship, and excellence. The brand’s story is a celebration of knowledge, skill, and the enduring pride of making something exceptional in France.
