Motorcycle enthusiasts, get ready for an electrifying experience at this year’s AMPLIFIED Motorcycle Live (MCL24), held at the NEC, Birmingham from 16-24 November. The event, in association with Bikesure Insurance, is set to dazzle with the latest models from top manufacturers, a curated collection of classic bikes, and one-off custom masterpieces. But the showstopper this year? A high-octane, immersive experience—the BSB Ride Sim Challenge.
This exhilarating new feature promises to push fans’ adrenaline levels to the max, offering a truly immersive racing experience. Visitors will have the chance to virtually race around the iconic Donington Park circuit, all while mounted on advanced racing simulators—systems also used by professional racers for training. The aim? To set the fastest lap time and compete for money-can’t-buy prizes, including two VIP tickets courtesy of the Pata Prometeon Yamaha World Superbike Team.
For British Superbike (BSB) fans, the excitement doesn’t stop there. Riders attending the BSB Day on Sunday, 17 November, will also be getting in on the action. They’ll have a chance to test their skills on the simulator, bringing a competitive edge to the experience. With the UK’s first-ever simulator race grid, visitors can race head-to-head across multiple sessions each day, competing not just against fellow fans, but also potentially against their favourite BSB stars.
MotoGP legend James Whitham adds extra excitement to the event, rounding out the MCL24 presenter line-up. Sharing his enthusiasm for the BSB Ride Sim Challenge, Whitham said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing the new race simulator. They’re the real deal, used by some of the top-level pros for training. I might even get on there myself to see how I measure up and see if some of the old magic is still there!” It’s clear that even seasoned professionals are ready to embrace the thrill of this next-generation racing experience.
But the BSB Ride Sim Challenge is just the beginning. MCL24 has more to offer, including the recently announced Festival Zone in Hall 4. This space will feature breathtaking freestyle motocross stunts, captivating moto trials, and a diverse range of street food vendors serving up refreshments to fuel visitors through the action-packed day.
For those looking to deepen their knowledge and skills, the Expert Lab, hosted by TV personality Grace Webb, promises a series of engaging and informative sessions. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just starting your motorcycle journey, the Expert Lab will provide valuable insights, sparking new passions and perspectives among attendees.
