With more than 260,000 sales since its launch in 2018, C5 Aircross has distinguished itself in the highly competitive C-SUV segment thanks to its interior space, modularity, and – above all – its unparalleled comfort in the segment.
The distinctive C5 Aircross already enjoyed a unique attitude on the road. Styling changes are mainly concentrated at the front to adopt a more assertive and dynamic style, amplifying its presence and elegance on the road.
1. A MORE IMPOSING, MODERN AND DISTINCTIVE SUV ATTITUDE
Visually larger and more imposing, C5 Aircross introduces a new design language where roundness gives way to more structured lines. The front-end styling adopts a new face, with more vertical taut lines contributing to a visually larger front face for C5 Aircross. Appearing wider and more imposing on the road, it looks more confident than ever.
C5 Aircross is dressed in a new interpretation of the chevrons, marking an evolution compared to other models in the range where the chevrons continued to the daytime running lights by a chrome beading.
The chevrons are now black lacquered, underlined with chrome, visually stretched by a set of increasingly tight chrome and black piano keys which gradually blend into the daytime LED lighting.
Typical of Citroën’s new identity, the “V” LED light signature, both slender and chiseled, receives a 3D effect through “piano keys”. These daytime running lights enhance the tech feel of the C5 Aircross, the Vision LED headlamps being more discreet thanks to a dark finish, which complements the shiny black grille. The logo and the V-shaped light signature are underlined at the bottom of the grille by a neat black lacquered blade.
Under the grille, the new style of the air intake area visually widens the front of C5 Aircross to give it a more imposing stance on the road. The side scoops are now open and functional and improve aerodynamics. The inserts that adorn the side scoops contributes to the vehicle’s move upmarket with the main air intake in the centre also becoming more dynamic and elegant.
The new protective skirt in the lower area of the front bumper completes the new face lift of the C5 Aircross.
A DYNAMIC PROFILE WITH A NEW REAR SIGNATURE
The new vertical and structured profile of the nose is complemented by the enhanced design treatment of the rear of the C5 Aircoss. The side profile of the C5 Aircross is characterised by a distinctive stance courtesy of a high and horizontal bonnet line as well as a 360° glazed surface welcoming a chrome C-pillar signature. All these elements give it balance and a unique personality, retaining all the attributes of a powerful SUV: 230mm ground clearance, large wheels, 360° protection covers including Airbumps® and muscular wheel arches.
In addition, several new styling elements on the side make it more elegant and modern. The new 18-inch’ PULSAR two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels create a very graphic contrast between aluminum and gloss black finish. New Glossy Black mirror caps, standard across the entire range, make the side mirrors more discreet blending into the windscreen pillars, while the glossy black functional roof bars feature a new matte black insert in the lower area.
In keeping with the front of the vehicle, C5 Aircross has a new three-dimensional LED light signature at the rear. Incorporating a structured and dark glass that matches the shape of the 3 LED modules that make up the permanent signature, this new modern design accentuates elegance and consistency with the front light signature. Similarly, as on the front, the subtle piano key animation reinforces the deep 3D effect of this light signature.
MORE ELEGANT AND DYNAMIC CUSTOMISATION
To meet the growing expectations of customers in the C-SUV segment, C5 Aircross relies on elegant elements that significantly improve the vehicle’s move upmarket.
C5 Aircross adopts a new Eclipse Blue hue, a very deep and elegant blue, which changes from dark blue to black depending on the outside light. The range is also available in shades already popular with customers: Ice White, Pearl White, Black Perla Nera, Platinum Gray, and Steel Gray.
2. MORE COMFORT and REFINEMENT
Following the enhancements to the exterior, the passenger compartment of C5 Aircross is now also more dynamic and refined. The high driving position, quality of the materials, the ergonomics, and the practicality of the interfaces make it a modern and distinguished SUV.
A NEW 10” TOUCH TABLET
C5 Aircross is equipped with a new 10” touchscreen tablet which seems to float on the dashboard and immerses the driver and passengers in a more modern cabin. This new, larger screen improves ergonomics thanks to its higher position more in the line of sight of the occupants, while providing easier access to air conditioning controls. The air vents are now located below the screen and are more modern thanks to a new horizontal and sharp design.
In addition, the fully customisable 12”3 digital instrument panel provides a direct view of all the information essential to the driver tailored to their choice: Navigation map report, information on active driving aids etc., thus preventing the driver from having to look away from the road and allowing for a safer drive.
CITROËN ADVANCED COMFORT ® SEATS
C5 Aircross is equipped with the new generation of Citroën Advanced Comfort ® seats consisting of high-density foam in the heart of the seat and an extra thickness of 15mm of foam that is designed to last. Citroën Advanced Comfort ® seats offer the best in terms of visual comfort, seating comfort and driving comfort.
Careful choice of sought-after materials enhances refinement and comfort throughout the cabin. The seats benefit from a new contemporary fabric, while the armrests, centre console, and dashboard are adorned with a new black leather-effect fabric inserts which improve both look and feel.
NEW CENTRE CONSOLE
The tall, wide centre console features a modern blend of black leather-effect fabric decor and a chrome edging which highlights, on the automatic gearboxes, a more ergonomic layout of the controls. The chrome e-Toggle gear selector is ideally positioned under the driver’s hand and the driving mode selector integrates the Grip Control function for the intuitive choice of the desired driving mode. It also has a large storage compartment, which includes 2 USB ports.
