Urban Automotive, a name synonymous with luxury vehicle customization, has once again set the bar high with its latest tribute to the 2018 ‘V2’ Urban-modified Range Rover Sport. This new signature build, unveiled at the prestigious 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, is a meticulously crafted homage to one of Urban’s most iconic projects. The special edition Widetrack version of the latest L461 Range Rover Sport reimagines the legacy of the original L494 SVR, blending cutting-edge design with a deep respect for its storied past.
The 2018 Range Rover Sport L494 SVR was a milestone in Urban Automotive’s journey, capturing the attention of automotive enthusiasts with its bold Estoril Blue exterior and striking gold Urban Vossen UV-1 wheels. This build not only showcased Urban’s prowess in vehicle modification but also established the brand as a leader in the luxury customization space.
Fast forward to 2024, Urban Automotive revisits this legendary project with a one-off Widetrack edition of the new L461 Range Rover Sport. The vehicle is painted in the same Estoril Blue, a hue that is no longer available from the factory, and features a bespoke Cirrus quilted interior that echoes the original. To further honor its predecessor, Urban collaborated with Vossen to create satin gold UV-1R wheels, a modern interpretation of the original UV-1 design, merging the best of past and present.

Widetrack and Narrowbody: Two Unique Configurations
For the first time, Urban Automotive is offering its Range Rover Sport package in two distinct configurations: the Widetrack and Narrowbody. Each package offers a unique approach to vehicle enhancement, catering to different aesthetic preferences while maintaining the brand’s commitment to quality and innovation.
The Widetrack package is the more aggressive of the two, featuring wide arches, a distinctive carbon fiber bonnet, and a front upper ‘matrix’ grille in visual carbon fiber adorned with Urban icon branding. The front design is balanced by an assertive rear, which includes an upper rear spoiler, a carbon fiber bumper, and a rear diffuser with a removable skid pan. Milled billet aluminum exhaust finishers with the engraved Urban logo add a touch of bespoke craftsmanship.
On the other hand, the Narrowbody package offers a more understated, OEM+ look. This configuration includes full replacement carbon fiber bumpers at the front and rear, carbon fiber side skirts, and a visual carbon fiber splitter with integrated daytime running lights. The rear is complemented by a carbon fiber upper spoiler, a rear diffuser, and billet exhaust finishers, providing a subtle yet refined appearance.
Designed and Manufactured in the UK
Urban Automotive’s commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of the Range Rover Sport styling programme. Each component is designed and manufactured in the UK by Urban’s in-house team, led by founder Simon Dearn. The company’s ‘OEM+’ philosophy ensures that every modification enhances the vehicle’s original design while adding individuality and road presence.
Before reaching the market, each product undergoes a rigorous research and development process to ensure seamless integration with factory safety systems and warning devices. This attention to detail guarantees that Urban’s modifications not only look spectacular but also meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
The Range Rover Sport styling programme is now available to order, with prices starting from £25,000. Clients can choose from a range of 23″ or 24″ forged alloy wheel packages and opt for additional performance upgrades, such as the Milltek Sport exhaust system, to further enhance their driving experience.
Urban Automotive has once again demonstrated its ability to blend heritage with innovation, offering clients a unique opportunity to own a piece of automotive history, reimagined for the modern era.
