Guangzhou, 17 November 2024 – After four exhilarating days and a challenging 1,000 kilometers, the inaugural 1000 Miglia Experience China concluded in spectacular style, leaving an indelible mark on the motorsport calendar. The event, a seamless blend of tradition and modernity, crowned its champions: the Alfa Romeo of the San Marino-Luxembourg crew, the Buick SGM7250G piloted by Zhanhe and Hongjiang Zhang, and the Mini of Chen Kangwei and Xiao Shanming, all claiming the prestigious podium positions.
This historic event introduced the legendary “Most Beautiful Race in the World” to China, traversing 11 cities that warmly embraced the roar of engines and the spirit of camaraderie. Participants competed in six distinct categories, ranging from classic 1000 Miglia Era vehicles to contemporary models, delighting onlookers with a stunning showcase of automotive elegance and performance.
A Route of Discovery
Starting in the bustling metropolis of Guangzhou, home to over 18 million residents, the journey offered a rich tapestry of sights and experiences. The route meandered through serene rural villages, verdant countrysides, and lush forests, crossing majestic mountains and tranquil rivers in southern China. This unique path provided participants with a rare glimpse into the region’s diverse landscapes and cultural richness, epitomizing the event’s spirit of exploration and connection.
For both seasoned enthusiasts and novice competitors, the opportunity to compete in Time Trials across uncharted territories was a thrilling highlight. Testing their skills and adaptability, the crews embraced the competitive challenge, gaining invaluable experience to prepare for future editions of the 1000 Miglia.
