The Zürich Auction set to captivate classic car enthusiasts during Auto Zürich 2025 at The Dolder Grand
London, 10 June 2025 – In a move set to redefine Switzerland’s presence on the global collector car stage, Broad Arrow Auctions—part of Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY)—has announced the debut of The Zürich Auction, taking place Saturday, 1 November 2025. This highly anticipated event will mark a significant expansion of Broad Arrow’s European footprint and serve as the grand finale to the renowned Auto Zürich show.
Held in partnership with Auto Zürich, the auction will present approximately 60 exceptional collector cars, carefully curated from across the globe. These automobiles will go under the hammer at the illustrious Dolder Grand, a five-star hilltop retreat overlooking Lake Zürich, known as much for its opulence as for its storied history dating back to 1899.
A New Chapter in a Storied Setting
Karsten Le Blanc, Head of Broad Arrow’s EMEA Region & Broad Arrow Capital, commented on the strategic importance of this new venture:
“We are very proud to become The Official Auction Partner of Auto Zürich and to announce The Zürich Auction as a new addition to our rapidly expanding European auction calendar. Switzerland is an important part of the collector car market, with many of the most respected collections based there, making it the perfect location for a world-class auction.”
Indeed, The Dolder Grand’s timeless grandeur and its connection to the early days of motoring make it a fitting stage for what is set to become one of Europe’s most prestigious automotive events. Paired with Auto Zürich—a motor show that has grown exponentially since its inception in 1987 to become a cornerstone of the European automotive calendar—The Zürich Auction promises an experience that is both elegant and exhilarating.

Curated Excellence Meets Swiss Precision
Broad Arrow’s Head of Consignments for Switzerland, Paul Gaucher, echoed the sentiment, stating:
“To be able to host this auction at the famous Dolder Grand is a great honour and one that I am confident will attract many of the hobby’s most renowned collectors to Zürich, a city with a great affinity for classic and sports cars.”
From pre-war classics to modern-day performance icons, the auction is expected to offer a meticulously assembled lineup of automobiles that celebrate the full spectrum of automotive artistry and engineering. Early consignments are already drawing interest, with the final roster expected to include significant marques and historically important models.
Strengthening the European Presence
The announcement of The Zürich Auction follows Broad Arrow’s resounding European debut at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Auction in Italy last month, where €31.2 million in sales and a new world record for a 1948 Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa (€7.543.750) set a confident tone for the brand’s international ambitions. Later this year, Broad Arrow will also headline The Zoute Concours Auction in Belgium, further cementing its position as a rising force in Europe’s collector car ecosystem.
Karl Bieri, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Auto Zürich, welcomed the partnership, noting:
“Auto Zürich is honoured to partner with Broad Arrow, and its outstanding team, to present The Zürich Auction. Together, we aim to captivate collectors, enthusiasts, and the discerning public in Switzerland with the magic of exceptional automobiles, both vintage and contemporary.”
A Date for the Diary
Set against the backdrop of one of Europe’s most luxurious hotels and taking place during a major international motor show, The Zürich Auction is poised to become a key fixture in the global collector car calendar. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a curious enthusiast, or a market observer, 1 November 2025 in Zürich promises an unforgettable celebration of automotive excellence.
