Milton Keynes, UK (30 August 2023) – The Volkswagen ID. Buzz has continued its year-long winning streak, collecting the ‘Best Electric MPV’ accolade at the 2023 What Car? Electric Car Awards.

The annual What Car? Electric Car Awards honour the best electric cars and vans available to customers in the UK.

The ID. Buzz was crowned the ‘Best Electric MPV’ on sale today, adding to its growing number of accolades since it was launched last year, including What Car? Car of the Year 2023.

Offering 1,121 litres boot space, paired with a practical and spacious interior, What Car?’s esteemed panel of judges voted the ID. Buzz the winner of the MPV category. The all-round driving experience of the ID. Buzz was also highly commended, thanks to its impressive visibility and smooth drive.

Steve Huntingford, Editor at What Car?, commented on ID. Buzz’s win: “The ID. Buzz offers sensational all-round visibility, while your confidence behind the wheel is further enhanced by steering that’s both accurate and nicely weighted. The ride manages to be great at soaking up bumps without feeling floaty at higher speeds. And, crucially, this is a hugely practical car, with an interior that’s wide enough to let three rear passengers sit side by side in comfort, and a boot so big that we ran out of suitcases when trying to see how many it would take.”

Alice Axtell, Product Marketing Manager at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “We are so pleased that the ID. Buzz continues to receive the praise and accolades it deserves since its launch last year. This vehicle is of great significance to Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, as it is the cornerstore of our future strategy. The ID. Buzz serves as our vision for the future of electric mobility, showcasing the best of both our heritage and innovation.”
