One of the most popular Mitsubishi vehicles in South Africa, the Outlander, will get a remake for next year.
The 2016 version of the Mitsubishi Outlander will raise its head at next week’s New York Motorshow.
The updated Outlander will be the first vehicle to show the Mitsubishi brand’s new design language, featuring more than 100 engineering and design improvements.
The new Outlander will not only have a new face, but according to a Mitsubishi spokesman “also a philosophical change.”
The official world launch is on 2 April.
Despite only being an update, Mitsubishi says over 100 engineering and design improvements have been made to the vehicle, including enhanced road performance as the result of improvements to noise levels, ride, handling and throttle response. The interior of the vehicle is also said to have been revamped.
Some of the exterior changes include a new grille and front look – two of the new pieces of sheet metal from the A-pillar forward and rear of the C-pillar included in the update.
All in all, the changes are said to demonstrate Mitsubishi’s renewed emphasis on style, refinement and overall driving experience.
