Paris, 3 March 2023 – During the Rétromobile classic car exhibition that attracts thousands of enthusiasts every year to the Porte de Versailles, 1000 Miglia and FIVA renewed the partnership under the aegis of Registro 1000 Miglia that since 2018 guarantees excellence and transparency in the certification of historic vehicles. In order to join the Registro, the agreement states that cars must have a FIVA Identity Card certifying their originality.
The Registro 1000 Miglia registers, certifies and classifies the cars that raced in the twenty-four editions of the 1000 Miglia speed race from 1927 to 1957. It has received more than 2000 registration requests, an indispensable requirement to certify the eligibility of cars for Red Arrow events.
At the signing ceremony, Tiddo Bresters and Beatrice Saottini, Presidents of FIVA and 1000 Miglia, expressed their pleasure for the attention drawn to originality and historicity in the classic car world by this collaboration.
The Registro 1000 Miglia project also collaborates successfully with Museo Mille Miglia, ACI Storico, ACI Sport and Ferrari Classiche.
At the Paris show, 1000 Miglia presented the list of events organised in 2023.
The third edition of the Coppa delle Alpi, the winter regularity race scheduled from 1 – 4 March, will inaugurate the season of Red Arrow events: 1100 kilometres that will cross the most evocative Alpine passes, crossing the borders of Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
The second edition of Sorrento Roads by 1000 Miglia will be unique and fascinating: from 30 March to 2 April, the cars will cross the Sorrento Peninsula, the Gulf of Naples, the Royal Palace of Caserta and the Amalfi Coast.
From 5 – 7 May, the 1000 Miglia Warm Up CH regularity race training weekend will take place in the Ticino area.
The 1000 Miglia, scheduled from 13 – 17 June in an unprecedented five-day edition on the Brescia, Cervia-Milano Marittima, Rome, Parma, Milan route will be accompanied by 1000 Miglia Green, Ferrari Tribute and 1000 Miglia Experience.
In the second part of the year, the internationalisation of the Red Arrow will continue with the Mille Miglia Festival in September in Japan, the fourth edition of 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA from 31 October to 5 November in the Washington D.C. area, and 1000 Miglia Experience UAE in December ending the year.
