Anglesey, UK – 30 October 2025 – Motorsport meets empowerment as Mission Motorsport prepares to host the eleventh annual Race of Remembrance at Anglesey Circuit on the weekend of 8–9 November. Now firmly established as a cornerstone event, the Race of Remembrance brings together teams from across the UK and beyond to celebrate the armed forces community, raise vital funds, and compete in the iconic 12-hour endurance race.
This year, Subaru UK & Ireland continues its partnership with Mission Motorsport, fielding a fully adapted Subaru BRZ that allows drivers with lower limb disabilities to compete on an equal footing with able-bodied racers. Featuring hand-controlled throttle and braking systems, the BRZ will be piloted by a team including Mike Smith, Dom Pearson, and two other talented drivers, with last year’s lead driver Steve Binns serving as driver coach.
Level Playing Field Through Innovation
James Cameron, CEO of Mission Motorsport, explains, “Motorsport has no disabled category. You modify the vehicles, through engineering, to allow drivers to compete on a level playing field with able-bodied drivers, and this is amazingly empowering. The Race of Remembrance has grown and is now in its eleventh year, and has become a true highlight on our calendar, bringing our community together on a particularly poignant weekend for us all.”
Subaru’s commitment is more than technical. Brian Wheeler, PR Manager at Subaru UK & Ireland, said, “We are proud to continue our support for Mission Motorsport and the important work the charity undertakes. The modified Subaru BRZ is not only an excellently balanced, stable race car, but the hand controls allow the team of drivers to compete in this highly competitive field and enjoy their racing.”

A Pause to Remember
Uniquely, all on-track and off-track activity at the Race of Remembrance pauses at 10:45, allowing competitors, pit crews, marshals, staff, and supporters to unite for a poignant pitlane service of remembrance. This moment underlines the heart of the event: honouring those who serve, past and present, and supporting the armed forces community in meaningful ways.
YourRoR: Racing Beyond the Track
Alongside the endurance event, Mission Motorsport has launched YourRoR, a community-led initiative inviting fans, beneficiaries, and supporters to take part in personal challenges that raise vital funds. The campaign encourages everyone to mark the Race of Remembrance in their own way, contributing to the charity’s mission and embodying the true spirit of unity and remembrance.
Those wishing to get involved or show support can join the initiative via #YourRoR on JustGiving. Every challenge, every donation, and every shared story helps Mission Motorsport continue empowering the armed forces community, on and off the track.
As engines roar and the Subaru BRZ takes its place among its peers, the 2025 Race of Remembrance promises to be a weekend of speed, skill, and solidarity—where barriers are broken, and every lap is a tribute.
