Nissan Juke Pulse Edition Amplifies Style and Tech

Sixteen years after igniting the compact crossover revolution, Nissan has turned the dial up once again with the Juke Pulse Edition, a special version that feels less like a trim level and more like a personality turned into sheet metal. Born in London and infused with attitude, this latest iteration leans into everything that made the Juke a standout, then sharpens it with a modern, tech-forward edge.

From the outside, the Pulse Edition doesn’t whisper for attention, it hums with it. A sound-wave inspired roof graphic stretches across the top like a visual echo of its name, while the newly introduced Ocean Deep body colour adds a rich, almost liquid depth to its presence. The asymmetric 19-inch aero wheels, accented with matching inserts, give the car a slightly offbeat rhythm, the kind that makes you look twice without quite knowing why. Contrasting black roof and mirror caps seal the deal, framing the design with a confident, almost theatrical finish.

Step inside and the tempo shifts into something more refined, but no less expressive. Dark blue synthetic leather flows across the cabin, wrapping the instrument panel, centre console and door trims in a cohesive, almost lounge-like atmosphere. Gloss black accents punctuate the space with precision, while mélange fabric inserts stretch into the rear, ensuring the design narrative doesn’t fade once you leave the front seats. It’s a cabin that feels curated rather than assembled, where every surface plays its part.

The Pulse Edition builds on the already well-equipped N-Connecta grade, but adds its own signature touches. Bucket seats bring a sportier edge, ambient lighting introduces a subtle glow after sunset, and the Bose Personal audio system transforms the interior into a rolling soundstage. With ten strategically placed speakers, it doesn’t just play music, it surrounds you with it, like stepping into your own private concert on wheels.

Technology continues to take centre stage, with Nissan’s ProPilot system anchoring a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features. The inclusion of a 360-degree Around View Monitor adds a layer of confidence in tight urban spaces, while integrated navigation and wireless charging keep the experience seamless and uncluttered. It’s the kind of tech that doesn’t demand attention but quietly improves every journey.

Under the bonnet, the Pulse Edition offers a choice between efficiency and familiarity, though both come with a distinctly modern twist. The hybrid powertrain blends a petrol engine with two electric motors to produce 143 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque, delivering a noticeable uplift in performance while cutting fuel consumption, particularly in city driving. It can even glide along on electric power alone in certain conditions, giving it a dual personality that suits both traffic-choked commutes and open-road escapes.

For those who prefer a more traditional setup, the 1.0-litre DIG-T turbocharged petrol engine delivers 114 horsepower and up to 200 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It’s a familiar heartbeat, but one that still feels lively enough to match the car’s playful character.

Since its debut in 2010, the Juke has carved out a space for drivers who don’t quite fit the mould, selling over 1.4 million units across 50 markets. The Pulse Edition feels like a celebration of that legacy, not by looking back, but by pushing forward with sharper design, smarter technology and a stronger sense of identity.

Now on sale across European markets, the Juke Pulse Edition enters the scene not just as another variant, but as a reminder that in a segment often defined by sameness, standing out is still a powerful thing.
