Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa recently introduced its latest limited edition two-tone Ford Fiesta to the local market. Only 200 units will be available for the trend setting consumer.
“The new model will be available in the following Trend derivatives: 1.4 petrol, 1.6 petrol and 1.6 TDCi.” commented André Oosthuizen, Marketing Manager of Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa. “The Trend Two-Tone is expected to appeal to the fashion conscious consumer while still maintaining a competitive price advantage.”
The Two-Tone Fiesta consists of a two tone colour coordinated dashboard with matching interior seat trim. Buyers can choose between two interior trim colours, namely Bohemian Sapphire and Bohemian Ruby. Exterior styling is characterized by a three-door silhouette.
All derivatives will feature an MP3 auxiliary port as standard, as with all Fiestas’ from this February. Two Tone customers will also be treated to a Samsung (K3) MP3 Player upon purchasing one of the 200 limited edition models.
The 1.4 Trend Two-Tone incorporates the above mentioned specifications but also features power assisted steering, ABS brakes with electronic brake force distribution, air conditioning, driver and passenger airbag and a full size spare wheel. The 1.4-litre Trend offers a power output of 60kW at 5 500rpm and features a torque peak of 128Nm at 3 500rpm.
The 1.6 Trend Two-Tone offers similar specifications levels to its smaller 1.4-litre sibling but benefits from the addition of 16″ alloy wheels. Powered by a 1.6-litre petrol power plant it produces 75kW at 6 000rpm and 146Nm at 4 000rpm.
The 1.6 TDCi Trend Two-Tone offers buyers the same specification level as the 1.4 petrol model but gives buyers the choice of diesel power. With 66kWs on offer from 3 900rpm and 204Nm at 1 500rpm the 1.6 TDCi offers a competitive fuel consumption figure of 5.12-litres/100kms on the urban cycle.
“The Fiesta’s distinctive exterior physique, fresh interior vibe and spirited colour offerings are further enhanced in the unique Two-Tone package. With an extensive list of creature comforts packaged at a competitive price we expect that the Fiesta Two-Tone will be a popular option with young buyers,” concluded Oosthuizen.
All models feature a 3 year/100 000km warranty as well as a 3year / 100 000km road side assistance plan. Service intervals are 20 000kms on petrol models and 15 000kms on the diesel model. Service and maintenance plans are available as optional extras.
