Mercedes-Benz Classic Life

Stuttgart. – “Mercedes-Benz Classic Life #1” is a new publication which has been created in cooperation with Mercedes-Benz Classic. premiummedia GmbH from Reutlingen is responsible for the form and content. The lavishly designed book can be ordered with immediate effect at www.mbclassiclife.com, from 14 April 2014 in the Mercedes-Benz Museum shop as well as in bookshops and costs 49.90 euros.

“Classic cars from Mercedes-Benz radiate a fascination which goes straight to the heart,” says Michael Bock, Head of Mercedes-Benz Classic. “This fascination is now available in book format. The authors bring selected Classic events from 2013 to life on paper: with entertaining stories and spectacular photos.”

The work reflects on the most significant moments of the 2013 classic calender – but without following the strict rules of a chronology. The reader can look forward to 216 pages of reports on races and record runs, conversations with visionaries, and portraits of groundbreaking innovations. The topics have been prepared bilingually, in German and English, and combine tradition and the present. The subjects range from Bertha Benz’s first long-distance drive with the Benz patent motor car in August 1888 to the first autonomous drive 125 years later: with the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class (model series 222) from Pforzheim to Mannheim. The other stories tell, for instance, of world records which are still held to this day, the most expensive car in the world, the special roof shape of the “Pagoda” SL, plus the current activities in the constantly growing young classic scene.

The book “Mercedes-Benz Classic Life #1” is published in the format 28 x 28 centimetres in the “EarBOOK” series from the publishing house Edel (ISBN: 978-3-943573-10-7) and also includes a vinyl record with eight specially selected jazz tracks.
