Ducati UK are offering those who purchase and register a Multistrada between now and May 15, 2012 a chance to win trip for two to this year’s famous Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.
The Hillclimb is America’s second oldest motorsport race and is now in its 90th year with a long-standing tradition in Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region. The race is run over a 12.42km, with 156 corners that begins at 9,390 feet and finishes at the 14,110 foot summit of America’s Mountain; Pikes Peak.
In 2010 Ducati conquered ‘The race to the Clouds’ with the Multistrada ridden by Greg Tracy and last year Carlin Dunne repeated the feat. Ducati will return to Pikes Peak in 2012 with defending champion and Pikes Peak motorcycle record holder, Carlin Dunne and six-time Pikes Peak winner Greg Tracy in their effort to defend the title for Ducati.
The success of the Multistrada in this event inspired the production of the Pikes Peak Multistrada and now two people have a chance to experience this unique race.
The winners will arrive in Colorado Springs and collect a Multistrada where they will begin a tour around Colorado Springs, attend Air Force Academy Independence Firework show, visit the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and enjoy VIP receptions and VIP access to the Fan Fest in downtown Colorado Springs. The prize winners will then get the chance to ride up Pikes Peak before enjoying Race Day events the following day.
The prize includes return flights from the UK to Denver, transfer to Colorado Springs, hotel accommodation for 6 nights with full board, a Pikes Peak event ticket, bike rental and fuel.
