Škoda UK has capped off an extraordinary year in 2025, setting new benchmarks across the board in both retail and fleet channels. With record-breaking registrations, soaring market share, and strong demand for its electric models, the Czech brand has solidified its position as one of the UK’s fastest-growing automotive players.
The year saw Škoda record 83,304 registrations, the highest in the brand’s UK history, surpassing the previous peak of 81,418 units set in 2017. This represents a 5.9% increase over 2024, a remarkable achievement in an increasingly competitive market.
Fleet success drives growth
A standout factor in Škoda’s performance was its dominance in the True Fleet sector. Fleet registrations surged to 27,672 vehicles, up 14.7% from the previous year, demonstrating the brand’s growing appeal among business users. Retail registrations also enjoyed robust growth, increasing 7.1%, reflecting strong consumer confidence in Škoda’s diverse model line-up.
The brand’s overall market share climbed to 4.1%, setting another all-time record, while retail market share rose to 3.2%, highlighting Škoda’s broadening appeal among private buyers. True Fleet registrations accounted for 4.8% market share, underscoring Škoda’s growing footprint across all segments of the UK automotive market.
Electric momentum with Elroq and Enyaq
Škoda’s electric models played a pivotal role in driving 2025 growth. The Elroq compact SUV, which joined the line-up in the second quarter, quickly captured consumer attention, while the refreshed Enyaq range, including the popular Coupé variants, proved equally successful.
Both models were enhanced mid-year with the launch of vRS performance versions, boosting their appeal further. Their eligibility for the Government’s Electric Car Grant—thanks to Škoda’s efficient and sustainable production practices—helped cement their position as accessible and desirable options for UK buyers.
