The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA has added another prestigious accolade to its growing collection, being named “Car of the Year 2026” by the European Car of the Year jury at the Brussels Motor Show. This award marks a significant milestone for the model, which has already amassed over ten international awards for its design, innovation, and performance.
Gorgeous, intuitive, and effortlessly dynamic, the CLA redefines what a compact luxury vehicle can offer. With groundbreaking features such as the MB.OS operating system and next-generation MBUX powered by AI, the car delivers an experience that feels both seamless and personal—a true “Welcome home.” every time drivers slide behind the wheel.
The new CLA isn’t just smart—it’s also impressively capable. Its fully electric variant boasts a range of up to 792 kilometres, ensuring worry-free journeys across cities and countries alike. And when charging is necessary, its 800V technology can replenish up to 325 km of range in just 10 minutes, redefining convenience in electric mobility.
Available in Europe since mid-2025 and soon arriving in the USA and other global markets, the CLA has already struck a chord with customers. Orders have exceeded expectations, filling the order book well into the second half of 2026. This recognition comes at the start of a jubilee year celebrating 140 years of innovation since Carl Benz invented the automobile, marking a fitting highlight in Mercedes-Benz’s storied history.

With remarkably low energy consumption figures, this 200 kW model can travel from Berlin to Brussels—or Bremen to Munich—without a stop to recharge, making it the “one-litre car” for the electric era. According to WLTP, the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology consumes 14.1–12.2 kWh/100 km and emits 0 g/km CO₂, solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable mobility.
Chosen from 34 new models and six finalists by 60 leading automotive journalists from 23 countries, the CLA’s victory with 320 points underscores its innovative prowess and the global recognition of Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to redefining driving excellence.
